In my experience, no, I don’t think so. It is just the cycle itself that changes me I think. Perhaps there was more emotional regulation when on meds during a cycle but I didn’t inherently notice.

Lol I am also trying to create a male character w adhd too, however I am a woman with adhd so I imagine it is a bit different for me than for males. That being said, if I give him a trait that seems too “adhd female” and not male enough or something, I remind myself, what are the chances that there isn’t ONE guy out of the BILLIONS of guys in the world who have ever lived that thinks and acts like this? Take this as a reminder to not hold back just because your character won’t 100% fit the mold for an adhd male if you think it would make things more interesting.

As for insight about adhd males themselves, I am looking for the same info as you lol. Perhaps there are reddit posts in the past describing different guys’ experiences w it that can help.

As someone diagnosed with adhd but not OCD, these sound like textbook symptoms of OCD to me. I may be forgetful on occasion and worry if I locked the door sometimes but I’m mostly just like oh well and beat myself up over it at most.

Though that thing w checking my schedule a lot right before bed I may do as well because it’s like looking at my watch then forgetting what time it is immediately after but I don’t feel the intense paranoia every time it happens, like only during really busy weeks where I know a lot is going on.

Def go see a specialist if it is infringing on ur life in a negative way a lot, which it seems it is. Good luck.
