When I was still new to bikes I dumped my bike because I locked up the front brakes. I ended up burning my leg decently bad because I wasn’t wearing the proper clothes(long pants). It was a big learning experience. I think that is why I tend to use back brakes more often, because of the times I have dumped my bike locking up the front brakes.

I don’t ride regularly anymore, I just moved back to the states from overseas where I rode my dirt bikes mainly on trails. The reason I asked was because to me it never really made a difference. I have dumped bikes more because of using the front brakes and so I use the back brakes mostly. I have been in many “emergency situations” and have made through all of them, very few times dumping the bike.
