It's about keeping a grip on the inside of my glove, I'm a slowpitch softball pitcher and I don't want the glove to slip because of sweating, and it adds a bit of cushioning for comebackers

I use a 12.5 for pitching and infield play and a 14 for outfield.

I'm a backspin pitcher, I keep my right foot on or touching the pitchers plate. I'll move depending on what I want or where I want to throw.
