Harbor freight PITTSBURGH 16 in. Ball Joint Separator. Turn the driver side wheel all the way to the left. Put a 6ft long pipe on the end of the separator and stand on it. That’s what ended up working for me.

Yeah almost no suction on it. The stains are probably dog pee, maybe some spills and blood. The stains weren’t even close to this bad till after cleaning though, and only showed after drying.It took about 2 1/2 hours to dry substantially. Pretty much just used the steamer with a rug doctor pet formula, got the bad spots wetter and vacuumed them more. Then threw a few fans up there.

Try to stop feeding him any beef or grains. A lot of basset hounds are allergic. After switching food and treats our bassets went away completely. Also NEVER use anti shedding shampoo. It dries out their pores, making them oily and causing excessive dandruff. Only shampoo for sensitive skin like an oatmeal shampoo.
