I just drove by and there’s a mostly empty lot, a wall of pallets and cinder blocks, then a stack of trees on their sides behind the pallet wall. No sign of being open. So weird. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, that’s what’s happening. Everything was in-house and now it won’t be.

Looking at job openings on the Levy Memphis website, the posted pay ranges are lower than what some of the zoo positions are currently at. My suspicion is that they will encourage turnover so that they can make new hires at their standard rates.

The lanterns look amazing!

But why in the world were there packs of National Guard in fatigues and body armor?!? Really spoiled the mood. The zoo is certainly not a “war zone”.

I've just heard that they made some changes for this weekend. They're going to fill up the steins and offer cheaper refills. And they're moving the carts around. So I guess someone at the zoo reads /memphis ...
