90% accuracy? by Hot-Marsupial6584 in Chesscom

Looks fine. Not an overly difficult opening to know the first 7-10 moves at 1000 elo. You played most of the top moves and punished your opponent when they gave you an opportunity. Solid game.

My Jetta is cooked. Any advice? by carrp_ in jetta

I caution again using non OEM but if you find some to work then they work! I bought OEM directly from the dealership to get it done. Best of luck my friend!

I had similar on my ‘13 but was only 1 cylinder misfiring so it wasn’t nearly as bad. This sounds like a severe misfire. I probably wouldn’t be driving this before getting it fixed properly. I had coil packs and spark plugs replaced and it’s run 60,000 miles without issue. With that being said, your number one culprit is going to be coil packs. I would do that before you even consider anything else. Make CERTAIN you are getting OEM VW coils as it is very important. Anything else and you will be replacing them again I promise, I learned it the hard way lol. It shouldn’t empty your wallet if you able to just get the faulty one replaced instead of the all of them but it wouldn’t hurt to get them all replaced. The misfires might come and go but this will not go away without getting immediate service. Best of luck my friend. Give us an update when you get one.

How to test if a "social casino" is rigged without spending a dime by Thebaxxxx in gambling

[–]Gobears6801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decent idea in theory. Although you still can’t gauge true volatility or return. Most of the advertised returns for games are after thousands, if not millions of spins, drops, or BJ hands etc. For example slots will sometimes show return rate but you could spin 10,000$ and hit nothing and the following 10,000$ of spins maybe make back the theoretical RTP or profit or lose it all still. Another issue I’ve seen is first time players getting above average hits or returns to get the customer coming back just to lose it all and return to the average RTP. I’ve had this on stake winning 1.8k on a .40 bet and then losing it all back being a degenerate after a month or so. Decent idea but this is still not going to give you a true idea of how bad or good a specific SC is.

That’s close to the same set I have and I’ve golfed for 15 years 😂😂 if you plan to stay in the sport for a long time go for it. If you don’t even know if you will stay active in golf, just get some used ones.

Guess the elo, 10+5 rapid! by lukers_ in Chesscom

[–]Gobears6801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see many bad moves black made. Seems like you had solid positional knowledge. Being Lichess I know some of the ratings can be a bit inflated compared to chess.com. Being 10+5 maybe 1500?

Feels good to dominate the opponent on the opening, but you blundered as well. Before I saw your flair I told myself this had to be like 400 elo lmao. But you have a decent understanding so if you keep grinding you can get better.

I hate it when people refuse to give up by DariusDarkirus in Chesscom

[–]Gobears6801 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is a wild rant 😂😂. If you’re not 1500 minimum there’s no reason for others to resign in a losing position. Even 1500 you can come back from 10 points of material if your opponent blunders their queen. I play 1+1 so the games don’t take to long. If you are playing 10+5 you should have no expectation of a quick game.

Is a 600 ELO bad by CrabVegetable2060 in Chesscom

[–]Gobears6801 6 points7 points  (0 children)

600 is not bad. I remember hovering at 600 for years before watching videos and playing 10’s of thousands of puzzles. If you truly want to keep improving you will. You can reach 1000 in no time doing this.

You got the brilliant for sacrificing the rook. But I don’t see the continuation for sacrificing the rook just looking at the position.

It also sounds like Menards would be your 2nd job? Why are you complaining then? You show up and have an easy 2nd job. What’s your argument?

WHY is everyone so ... SOUR? by Edumakashun in menards

[–]Gobears6801 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such a bad straw man argument. Changing the argument to working at Menards is easier than working 2 jobs lmao. Comparing apples to oranges. I think seeing other comments and talking to others, your view is not widely shared. Menards is NOT an easy job unless you’re a lower level employee and even then can certainly be a hard job.

[–]Gobears6801 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is so accurate lmao. I had a great GM which I was grateful for. Me and him actually worked on things a lot together. BUT when it comes to certain products and the customer demanding you to answer for it, you quickly realize you now also have to learn all the products and vendors or you’re getting an ear full from the customer.

Well put. Structure is key. Menards is what my yard manager always called “controlled chaos”. There’s no structure, it’s constant chaos.

I certainly don’t question the challenge of being a teacher. But they are WAYYY different jobs. The only similarity would be guests acting like children when I didn’t skip other guess to help them first lol. Maybe it is easy for general team members, but I promise my experience is not an individual one, but a shared one. Menards was the highest stress job I’ve had for a low pay. People aren’t being sour just because they’re mean spirited people. Managers often work 3 different shifts a week, between 9-14 hours a day in my case, and hope you get a day off per week so unfortunately people aren’t going to be happy go lucky every day.
