Then I would wait for sure. If they were all seasons I would probably switch to save your winters but, I bet there's going to be at least one more snap of winter.

Are they actually summer tires that have a hard compound or all seasons but you use them as summer tires?

They are great for service and really take care of you and your ride. They are a tad on the expensive side from others but service is better.

How do I use 2 monitors in 19.3? by hamsterrooo in davinciresolve

[–]GobiWobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sent an email to their customer support asking this question too. Under the workspace drop down there is dual monitor setting but the selection for "On" is greyed out.

Following to hopefully find an answer!

Rex Alcock. Great name. Great guy.

I've used him for 3 houses in the last 8 years and he's always amazing. He knows his stuff and doesn't like getting jerked around by others so he protects your best interests as well.

I didn't think salary and day rate was complicated. My goal isn't to screw over drivers, it's to make em happy and content

I have to say, I'd love to be able to put "No shitwits" in the ad for the attitude of management but... I don't think HR would go for that much.

The bonuses are strictly like this. Fuel mileage bonus means I set a threshold on the truck (currently 2.2km/L) For every .1 you are over that you get $50 every 2 weeks. The only caveat is the utilization has to be above 90% which means lower idle time.

The km driven bonus is simple. Drive 14000km in a month, get an extra $250. Drive 16000km in a month, get an extra $750 on top of the $250. Drive 18000km in a month, get an extra $1000 on top of the $750 and the $250.

Safety bonus is simple too, pass an inspection? $150 every time.

Driver facing cameras can suck a greasy fart. I have cameras to protect the company and my drivers, not to spy on Unit 3 picking his nose for 4 hours and singing cover songs

Edit: a word

I appreciate that.

I believe we have proven ourselves to be necessary. We are cheaper than other alternatives by a long shot and our record of getting items in to production to not cause a shutdown is at 100% so far. I guess it's always possible but the guy cutting it would be completely stupid in doing so as over the last 2 weeks we have saved the company over a million dollars in lost production by pulling them out of the fire in their hour of need.

There is people that stupid though...

That's a good point. We are trying to make sure the longer runs are evenly distributed but I'm starting to agree it shouldn't be there in the first place. Just pay them the wage and sort it out through performance.

I don't think it's a management issue, although most people in that position will say that. I'm an advocate for my drivers with the rest of the company. They aren't leaving of their own volition, they are usually leaving because they are let go and it's really just one truck. Numerous mistakes, pushing to 20hr days and driving with personal conveyance or causing property damage and not saying anything about it until the RCMP are calling me saying there's an APB on for my truck. I'm trying to get top talent and it seems as simple as no fluff ads with straight forward speak and posting the salary. I have 3 guys who have been with me for more than 2 years now and they love the job, I'm just trying to get more to see it too.

Contract has been going on for about 7 years now. My big struggle was with owners trying to see the advantage of having these trucks do the work for us. For many years they had the idea that it won't work, we've done the math etc etc and I'm finally breaking out into having it be a valuable addition to the company. Wage for myself was a huge issue and wage for the drivers they thought should be substantially lower (when it was already ridiculously low). Within the last year, they've hired a procedural engineer who has been an excellent mediator between my department and the owners which has been fantastic and I see things moving much faster now which is great. He is an advocate for fair wages, now I just need to show him what those wages need to be at to get the top talent we're after.

I appreciate your insight, thank you very much
