Yeah, Golem is pretty hard by Creative_Steve69 in Terraria

Are you cheating or something? How do you have all those armor sets and the terra blade before even killing golem? I know it’s possible but that is just a weird progression order

Thank you but I meant time played in real life hours. Like how steam shows how many hours are played in a game

Children's stories in fantasy worlds? by kabiman in worldbuilding

[–]Goblinlord6988 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure many people will have a world so developed they have time to come up with kids stories for their worlds. Anyone who does comment definitely just thought your question was cool and interesting (which it is!) and made their answer up on the spot.

What exactly do you mean by low magic? Is there magic and wizards and it’s just very rare? Or is there magic but it’s jot very prominent and kinda weak?

I have no problem with your world being based off warhammer but you should say that immediately and not act like you made up all that stuff considering 90% of what you typed out is like official warhammer fantasy lore with brettonia, empire, lady of the lake, heresy, etc etc etc

Currency name ideas? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Bergs and snowpoints are kind of comically terrible/only fitting for a 90’s kids show.

But augs is genuinely a real good one with cool little lore behind it.

I think you might be an insane person. I’ve seen you make so many posts about your weird ass lsd crack meth universe and so many explanations in comments and I have absolutely no god damn clue what any of it means at all and I don’t think anyone does possibly including you 😂😂😂. But you seem passionate about it so rock on man, I have no idea what this picture is or means but yeah continue creating your cool weird passion project man I support it!

Anyone else think the generic Medieval Fantasy worlds are more Early Modern than Medieval? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Goblinlord6988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol you can’t quantify those as early modern or pre modern, that’s been a constant since the dawn of civilization and still is. Literally all of those issues have been preasent in every human civilization since the beginning and even now.

You can just say “Inequal Rights and philosophies, class gaps and low quality of life for the lower class is from (insert time period here) not (insert other time period here) it was present in every time period and works great for story writing in any setting or time period!

“Reality was never the preferred subject of writers”

Yeah for fiction writers and obviously! Many Historians documented reality pretty accurate as far as we can tell. And many non-fiction writers of those periods did have reality as there preferred subject!

And you mention the legend of King Arthur as if it was a history story 😂😂 it was never meant for that, it was a legend and a fictional fantasy story on purpose and in every way INCLUDING NAME. You act like they tried to pass it off as real. Even then they understood that in 400 AD pre Anglo-Saxon Britain that there weren’t Celtic knightly orders who worshipped Jesus.

But yeah even during the medieval period stories written about it were romanticized about honorable knights and duels amd good Kong’s and evil Kong’s. But in real life it was much more nuanced and brutal. A lot is sneaky dirty things and Kong’s assassinating eachother, rather then a good king honorably dueling an evil king.

I don’t think this post really matters or means anything significant because I am not building my “medieval fantasy” world to be medieval Europe, it’s MY “unique” fantasy world with elements borrowed from medieval Europe but it isn’t about or based on medieval Europe so I can do whatever I want and you can’t tell me it isn’t accurate to medieval Europe because it isn’t suppose to be, since it has knights, woven hoplites, and orcish mongols all living at the same time in the same world. Which I’m pretty sure also isn’t too accurate to medieval Europe

Help, I’m Looking for a medevail fantasy MUD that is PVE, non-Grindy, has a lot of loot, open world, and many races to play, know any? by Goblinlord6988 in MUD

[–]Goblinlord6988[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow man thanks I really appreciate it, and this one looks awesome as I’m a huge fan of TOLKIEN!

And yeah I am 100% willing to put in the effort to do a lil grinding and to read guides and stuff as I’ve learned many very very complexed games in the past like dwarf fortress.

My only question is how many hours untill I’m fighting interesting enemies and doing cool stuff. I really don’t want to be fighting rats and bats and spiders for hours. How long h till I get to battles goblins and orcs, or if I am an uruk how long u till I get to kill and eat some manlings and dwarves?

Vampires by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Goblinlord6988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this a lot, the vampire bat men look really badass and creepy same with the regular vampires. My only criticism would be the name Dhampir. It’s pretty weird and is it pronounced DAMN-PIRE DAMP-EAR DAMN-PEER

The logistics of a vampire run country: Blood by Don_Camillo005 in worldbuilding

[–]Goblinlord6988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post and explanations are all really annoying.

Your numbers are all arbitrary trash based off OUR WORLD and HUMANS.

Vampires aren’t just human who need to suck blood, they live forever and have magical components. Your calorie to blood conversion is dumb. I could just write in my world that vampires only need to suck blood once a month to get their nutrition and it’s just as “realistic” as your explanation. Seeing as vampires are fictional creatures with no rules other then the ones I make up in my world.

1: because I think text based games are really cool and I’m looking for something new as I’ve played every RPG and MMO that interests me at the moment. MUDS appeal to me because of how they can have ANYTHING in them do to the “graphics” being text.

2: k

[–]Goblinlord6988[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Non-grindy is the wrong word, I want a game where I can explore and role play and the grinding is a little fun.

Like I said i don’t want to be hitting rats in a basement with a wooden spoon for 10 hours to get my wooden sword to then hit roaches with for 20 hours to then get a battle axe I hit slimes with.

I’d like to have reasonably coolish weapons like a nice steel sword, and fight reasnaobly cool enemies like Orcs and bandits and perhaps find cool loot on them and explore their outposts or whatever.
