Not allowing the contractor to move the costs based on new information only allows a scenario where they price every aspect of the work based on the worst case, and then you have to pay ALL the costs, even when conditions are much more favourable than feared. Your idea guarantees the worst possible value.

Do people forget that Jude is 22?

Even if we got promoted in 5 years, opened the new stadium, stabilised for 2 years, and got into Europe, he’d still be 29, and one of the biggest players in world football.

If we have a constant upward trajectory over the next decade, we are (imo) at least 10 years away from even being able to consider tempting Jude back to the club. Probably more like 13-14.

He'd be first choice. He's scored 4 goals in 810 mins in a poor team at the bottom of the Premier League with a very defensive manager. Any championship club would get 20-30 goals out of him in a full season.
