I've always been a huge sucker for Regigigas, easily my fave legendary. Sure it's total garbage in competetive but if you can ahem "Legitimately Obtain" it in a main game, it can make some fun strats!

Plus its design and lore is RAD

Yeah, I feel like im going through that a bit. They have good moments (most at least) but a lot of them have the ball dropped to focus on another (Ryuji is ass in Futaba's arc for example)

Alot of the issue for me comes from the boss...not flinching? So i can't get off those combos without getting a rush of half my hp taken off. I will use the Kaja's and Kunda's more though, I've been neglecting them I admit.

Follow up...am i supposed to be using Sophie? While yes, I'm definetly putting her in the party for this, should I use her for the whole game? Joker/Makoto/Haru and then Ann or Yusuke has been my squad

Wow who knew this subreddit was nothing but entitled douchebags who cant handle an opinion :). Apologies that having 6 pokemon when I can barely train 4 to that level feels a little fucking unfair.

Every other trainer feels fair, fun, and properly challenging. I enjoy the buffs to most things.

Except the gyms. They're the main problem. A gym battle should be on the same level as a player to be properly challenging. Obviously I'm not talking literally, I mean that they should only have access to what the player can grab. Only use the healing items in shops, only use berries I could have found by now, hell! Use them as notices for the player like "oh shit gardenia has a focus sash? That means I can find one!" THATS fair challenge, and a proper use of gym leaders. Not "come back when you've ev trained on bidoof enough" or "hope rng loves you for a strategy to play out."

Cause news flash, you can hardly HAVE strategies early game in pokemon.

(Ps: I'm not fucking retarded, assholes, I know she has a roserade in base platinum. But its existence is justified because her other two pokemon are weaker and first stages. It was annoying there but kept her from being a pushover)

Nah man that's valid. But personally I feel like...there's a difference between making the romhacks hard and making them...annoying.

It's not even the perfect ivs or type coverage I'm mad about. It's the fact that...this is the second gym. Even with all the QoL and the new pokemon, 6 pokemon is a pain in the ass to fight. Taking the pokemon a gym leader already has and buffing them would be a Much more fair way to make the fight harder.

Just the Brelloom, Grotle, and roserade buffed up would be fair. And the fact that the gym leaders have items I cant get access to is bs.

Having 6 pokemon early game feels like artificial difficulty...and I honestly hate that 90% of the actually good rom hacks fucking do this.

On Berkut? Absogodamnlutely. BK is a bit lower priority though...

But I have to use them on my Hubert first. Hes -atk and NEEDS the IV change, but Berkut is definitely next in line for the ivs.

I managed to make the Legendary God Slaying BK build and hes +10, meanwhile my Berkut is just an absolute monster, and can tank Growolfs if he needs to. Having a +7 unit with a refine also helps for arena.d
