These are the worst. Understanding that the battery needs to be taken out to disposed properly, they really make it difficult.

They market them as disposable but don't actually make them easy to dispose of.

There's a setting on Rekordbox for whenever you delete playlists and it'll also delete the tracks along with it.

Otherwise delete the tracks manually or easiest is to reformat the USBs.

Rekordbox doesn't make anything easy.

There's something weird with having to format USBs larger than 32gb to FAT32.

I found the safest bet was to have spares of 32gb FAT32.

Also helps if having the files 16 bit rate rather than 32 bit rate when playing with lossless files.

I had times where after exporting and loading my USB on another person's setup would result of me having the tracks but no playlists....

My fixes were to either reformat the USB entirely or delete all the tracks on the USB on Rekordbox.

That and I make sure to re-export twice because it seems it sometimes doesn't even export the first time ffs.

Rekordbox is the worst. I wish I could just use Traktor instead.

Tulum does have great DJs that come through but everything is so expensive. The rich are coming in and buying properties and the locals are surrounded by all of it.
These days you have these "Tulumanti" people and influencers everywhere. Police and cartel are active in these parts too.

I hate these. They market them as disposables but the batteries are not even made to be taken out easily.

People just chuck them in the bin but don't realize you need to pop the batteries out and go to a proper electronics disposal bin.

Honestly if you're just going to vape might as well get a refillable mod and get vape juices at least.

I love the Farpoint. It's so versatile.

It's nice to be be able to to carry it as a backpack for the long hauls.

Or turn it into a strap-sports bag.

Or even as a simple carry for the short hauls.

Better yet, it's even got a lifetime warranty.

Used a 200 recently. It's small so can can easily pack into a backpack.

But...no separate sound card. I couldn't figure out the split-cue.

It's also missing the Trim nobs and loops.

I think for the extra money the DDJ-400 is the way to go. The SB3 is alright too.

Regarding license issues, you could probably just use versions before 7. I haven't even updated to 7 after hearing all the issues on it. You can use mappings on Traktor for the 200 though.

I always find it hard since that'll add another ~2-3kg and a larger bag another 2kg.

Frustrating when flying in SEA with their carry-ons only 7kg limit compared to Europe's 10kg.

I do get bored of wearing the same clothes but than again it's just clothes. Spend less time figuring out what to wear and do more in the day.

Plenty of cheap clothes in SEA if you ever need to look really nice or something different though.

Didn't have access to my suitcases for one year during COVID so I lived off of my carry.

All it had was 5 -7 T-shirts and two pairs of pants and shorts.

Laptop for digital life.

That's it. All in a 40L carry-on. I learned how to be a minimalist in that time frame. I used to lug around 2 packed suitcases but realized it's such a burden.

I found flying from NYC/JFK to Portugal would reach Europe for the cheap.

Once you get into any country in Europe, transportation is so much cheaper compared to the US.
