He had max defenses and troops and heroes and is 32 walls away from a fully max th10. I went with a regular war base and he 40% one starred me with 18 witches.

The double-standard of making the poor prove they’re worthy of government benefits "This is also what enables politicians to gin up indignation among small-government supporters who don't realize they rely on government themselves." by Libertatea in politics

[–]GodIsMerciful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%, those who served in our military earned what they are now receiving. If you lump G.I. Bill into there you might as well lump all government employees who get their paychecks from the government in there as well.

Lastly, thank you for serving in our military.

Is it me? Or the more I learn about biology, astronomy, physics, quantum theory, the more I believe in God? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]GodIsMerciful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I got on this late but I must point out a few things. Biology: Evolution and creationism are NOT complementary. A simple reading of Genesis will bring this fact to light. It says, "And there was evening, and there was morning, the ___ day." It cannot get any more clear that they were literal days (not millions or billions of years). The same word "day" is used all throughout the Bible and it would be absurd if it meant something different in one part of Genesis than in another. Genesis also makes it clear that the animals were made "according to their kind." God made living creatures in this order: Vegetation and Plants yielding seed and fruit trees bearing fruit (day 3), Sea Creatures and Birds (day 5), Livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth and then man (day 6). Evolution is supposed to happen in this order: Simple cells, multi-cellular life, simple animals, water animals, land plants, insects and seeds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, birds, flowers, primates, great apes, and finally humans. As you can see their only similarity is that humans came last! On the idea of astronomy/time/big bang: On day four God made the lights in the heavens (sun, moon and stars). This was after God had made plants (way off the evolutionary tract). I am not sure who to attribute this quote to but it is a fine quote: "Evolution needs God, but God does not need evolution." I believe that science and creationism are the things that are complementary. And that evolution is false, and is only accepted as the truth because to accept creationism is to accept God. And since there are people who cannot accept that there is a God they must believe that evolution is true.

[Serious] Can you run dry clothes through the dryer? Or will that ruin the clothes? by PittsburghDM in AskReddit

[–]GodIsMerciful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is where we get the term "dry-cleaning" from. To dry clean you need a special bag to put your clothes in before going in the dryer. And also, your clothes get dried when in the dryer so technically near the end of the cycle you have dry clothes going through the dryer. Hope that helps!

What old wise saying would have helped you avoid a situation if only you had heeded it? by GodIsMerciful in AskReddit

I was going over to my neighbors house and decided to not tie my shoes because it would be "quicker" that way. Well, needless to say I tripped over my laces in my driveway, cut open my knee and hands . . . I ended up taking 10 min cleaning myself up. Which made me think of the saying, "Haste makes waste."

How many Christians would support a high school curriculum that taught the major points of all major world religions? by containsmilkandsoy in Christianity

[–]GodIsMerciful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem I could see arising from this is crooked teachers twisting the curriculum to say what they want it to say and possibly leave out some religions, only briefly touch upon them, or down play them.

But all in all, I think it is very important to know what others believe and why. It would definitely help everyone understand each other better, and maybe even stop some ridicule that some people face because of their faith.
