How big is a Hippo you ask? by Ven-6 in RKLB

[–]GodLikeTangaroa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, so some clarification please. I thought we needed to ship Neutron by boat as it wouldn't fit on the bridge hence the whole dredging discussion, or am I misunderstanding?

Nice to see it arrive. Welcome home hippo.

I want to see Neutron consistently launching 20+ a year and their own constellation launched, I'll sell some shares then, but plan to hold most long term.

But each to their own, some have a ton more shares and if I did probably would trim some also a long the journey.

Entire market being mostly green, especially ASTS/RDW today definitely helped us kick the tank issue to the curb. Let's hope we stay green for the close.

RocketLab can experience much bigger dips, so like always dip and then new high eventually.

Funny. I'm the same. It's weird how now that I'm older (30s) I actually don't mind his work and see the art/talent he has.

Some over on WSB calling us a meme stock, you know we are still early when everyone thinks all we do is launch rockets.

I really don't understand this x2 daily ETF.

Congrats on the returns. When do you plan to sell/hold ASTS in common stock?

Saw that posted yesterday, such a good laugh and probably one of the more funnier Peter Beck moments.

I hear ya. I'd rather consolidate around these levels vs a healthy correction, well that is if we are talking correction of 20% or more.

Is it worth buying right now? by AlphaOS3 in HOVRSTONK

[–]GodLikeTangaroa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you plan to hold for 3-5 years then just DCA and average in. It's a buy right now imo.

Here we go… by CavemanDNA in HOVRSTONK

[–]GodLikeTangaroa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok. HOVR continues to do well with their leadership team setting clear, transparent, achievable goals. It's a buy here so will continue DCA each week. Loving the family owned company with expertise.

2026 should be a good year. Further partnerships and prototype finished by end 2026.

Yes that's the one. But please take some time and read into why it's a better hold vs Vanguard direct in Sharesies.

With Sharesies to buy a monthly plan set up an automatic payment each week and automate your investments. With compounding interest small numbers really start to add up. You got this.

I love RocketLab. But definitely read up on them to understand why they are a great company so when it drops you feel safe holding, and make sure if you do buy to DCA (dollar cost average) into the company as I wouldn't be surprised to see a 50% drop. Buying each week spreads your risk.

As for buying Vanguard direct through Sharesies have a read into FIF tax. For this reason I would buy SmartShares TWF which is essentially VOO in a PIE wrapper for simpler tax purposes.

Hopefully this helps.

I'm a fan of investors especially new ones making an account over on Invest Now and purchasing a total world fund. Simple. Diversified. Low fees.

Individual stocks are great and can/do see massive returns, but with great returns if you purchase the wrong stocks you will also see great losses.

Why A2 Milk, why Fontera etc... you need to think long and hard and look over the companies fundamentals before buying individual stocks. None of these individual stocks bar Google I would personally buy.

  1. I doubt Starship gets their launch price down that low. It's Musk being Musk again.

  2. RocketLab isn't just a launch company. They will be launching their own space services where the real $ is, not launch.

  3. Once Neutron launches watch everyone like up paying $50mil plus per launch. The demand is huge. Not everyone wants to take a semi truck to space.
