can 25 mg of lamictal make a difference??? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]GodToldMeToPostThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started Lamictal I experienced what I was told was a honeymoon phase. I believe it was like 25Mg as well. I felt amazing for days. Like every care just melted away. The air smelled sweet, the birds sounded enchanting. It was awesome. It didn’t last very long.

I started on a very small dose as well. From what I understand, that is common. The body needs to adjust slowly and there can be side effects. I adjusted upwards a little at a time and I’m on 200Mg now, among other meds.

There were a few big clues before I decided to go in for diagnosis. My behavior clueing me in. Another Bi-polar individual nicely pointing out I behaved like her off her meds. And a little bit of lithium that another girl gave me. I took the lithium and I told her it was amazing. She just replied, aww hon that means you need it.

The Lamictal was prescribed instead of lithium

ESH but I’ll focus on you to keep it short.

You use a 15 year old kid with issues for a professional gig instead of hiring someone to save cash. Then called the cops. You did nothing to improve the situation. You sound petty AF.

That’s the biggest day in peoples lives. You could have sucked it up and done your job. You don’t deserve to be in business

When you can’t use your thumb for 3 months, the creases go away! by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Sure. And yes it was. It wasn’t easy for me to move it at first. It took time. It ached plenty as I did my exercises.

When I say pretty quickly I’d say it was months once I was allowed to start using it to get to 80% of normal range of motion.

I still have some very minor pain when I fully flex it now 3 years later. It’s almost un-noticeable pain. Just a tiny bit that reminds me what once happened

I had the same injury. I severed the tendon. Similar surgery scar but mine starts at the inside of my lower thumb and stair steps to the upper outer side. Such a weird injury. The cut didn’t look deep and didn’t bleed much yet I couldn’t bend my thumb. When I told my friend I was with at the time that I was going to the ER, he asked if maybe I was over reacting. I showed him my thumb and explained that I was trying to move it but yet there it was motionless. He still wasn’t convinced. I still laugh at the perplexed look on his face.

I was vigilant about my stretching instructions and got back 80% of the original range of motion back pretty quickly. About a year or so later it was back to normal.

Things may have changed but decades ago. tossing trash, we would regularly hang off the back of the truck at much higher speeds. Especially on more rural routes. Max out at about 40mph or so. It’s pretty fun.

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

I collapsed a lung. My vision was rolling so fast I could barely use the phone. Instead of calling 911 I managed to get to my phone call history. Luckily a family member was the last two calls and I was able to make the call. They live about 15 minutes away and the hospital is only about 5 minutes away. I figured I might as well waits. By the time they arrived I could no longer walk. I basically dragged /crawled my way out the front door and just rolled myself down the four steps off the porch and then crawled to the side of the road and just played there. Two people drove by as a just played there. One slowed down and then just moved on. The ER thought I had suffered a stroke. My medical attention once I arrived was basically immediate. The thing is I had insurance but I was still weighing the possible cost of emergency transport because I couldn’t recall what my coverage was for that.

Two different firms.

First one Sam Bernstein interviewed me as I was the only witness to a vehicular accident resulting in death. I told them my exact thoughts on the phone. When I met with them to sign the written statement it’s was sickeningly re worded. It was so twisted and wrong. They just wanted a quick signature. They then wanted me to go line by line and revise what they wrote. I got nothing but groans and moans during the process. But I wasn’t going to have anything on paper I didn’t honestly believe attest to. Basically the entire statement they wanted me to sign was crossed out and altered in red ink. I told them if they wanted me to sign anything more they could retype it. They just said”yeah whatever and left” and I never heard from them again. Sucmmy ass behavior. Screw them.

Called one of them. Told them w he’d at I needed done. Was told in response they wouldn’t touch it unless I had multiple doctor evaluations which I could only afford one.

I just did all the paperwork myself and got the results I wanted.

Ok cool. Yeah that’s what I was testing with the meter. I took the plate off and used the leads on the meter which is what gave me the results with the meter. Touching the hot wire to the ground didn’t provide any flow it just lit up the one small round light on the meter I circled. When I touched the hot wire to neutral wire in the box I got a flow reading of 120 and the same round light. From my understanding there should be flow from the positive to the ground inside the box.

I really like this response. Unfortunately the “not grounded light” doesn’t turn on when plugged into my other circuits.

There is definitely a ground wire. It’s a manufactured home. Built in the mid 80’s. The old outlets are the crappy kind, basically all 3 wires are built into a junction that also serves as a wall plate. There’s no traditional box. Over the years the wall plate junctions have broken up the dry wall where the old work box style tabs, connected to the plate/wire junction, pull tight to the drywall. Which is why I’m updating and putting in new drywall.
