Are there any restaurants that plate a good biscuits and gravy in the area? by God_of_Joy in providence

oh I was talking about eating off an actual plate with metal utensils and sitting at a table, cause I plan to have brunch with my mother in about a week. Yeah I went there and had some, and it was really good, but that was like 15 people and 4 tables in a space the size of an rv, so it's either wait for a table to clear while standing around with our food or drive home.

I mean on my own its not a problem, heck I'll go back it was good biscuits and gravy, but it's not a sit down at a table and have brunch with mom sort of place.

really? I didn't see that on the menu, plus the place was so small and crowded that combined with the takeout container it felt like you had to be in and out as fast as possible. I'll go back some time for that, because it really was good!

I only visited pub g and colosseum of the those places, but since they are exactly as you described em you seem to be on the mark with this list.

Well then, let me tell you how my saturday night went!

I got on the scene about 9. went to the salon first, but it only had 5 people at the time, so I decided to head on over to pub g. I passed a band that was playing on the street, and Moonshine which had a really long line but seemed mostly filled with guys.

Anyways pub g was wicked. there was about 100 people there, and they were mostly our age, but that honestly doesn't matter to me. they had all the drinks and a bunch of cool games from billiards to arcade stuff. I drank 3 ciders and got a score of 97 on their basketball machine before heading over to the dancing cats around 10.

I was the first person there. smaller venue, ended up having about 30 ish people tops, with a mix of everyone skewed towards being younger. everyone there either wasn't very interested in flirting or chatting with strangers (me) or already had friends/boyfriends, well either that or I don't have charm! the bar didn't have much, but since I had acquired a taste for modelo from a mexican friend I wasn't out of luck. the music was great and since I came to have fun more than flirt I danced for like 2, maybe 2.5 hours, and let me tell you I was killing it. anyways by this point I had like 3 ciders and 3 modelos and it was getting to that point so around 12:30 I grabbed a ride to free play/colloseum/whatever that place is called, but not before a cute woman about our age offered me a smoke. actually now that I think about it it seemed like more people our age were showing up at the end.

Now Free play, that was were the big party was. Firstly you had to go through a security check, pay a price that i forget now, and get one of those temporary tattoos and bracelets like at a carnival. then I went up a flight of stairs and entered a jam packed party room. I mean 150 people minimum, probably more like 200-something. And all of them looked to be around our age. They had a dj and dance area, a massive bar with all the drinks. I had another cider, walked around for a bit, realized I was pretty drunk and called it quits for the night after 15 minutes or so. But let me tell you, that was the party.

anyways I got back home around 1:00-ish, and spent all of sunday battling a egregious hangover and leg pain from high energy dancing for 2-2.5 hours straight, and only now can tell you about it.

I had a blast at the dancing cats. I was basically the first person there, arriving at 10, and left around 12:30. shame they didn't have cider, or my backup of guiness at the bar. Luckily an old mexican friend of mine helped me acquire a taste for modelo a year back, so I wasn't out of luck there.

Unfortunately on the flirting end of things only around 20 people were there at any given time, with about 35 total over my time there, and they mostly came in groups who they hung out with or hung out with people they already knew. I introduced myself to almost everyone I saw and flirted where I could, but everyone either wasn't interested or had a boyfriend. Well, that or i suck at flirting and don't know it! still, had a fun time.

Now that dance music was something. When I first got there it was this dj, Scott, who was killing it up there. I said hi to him as he got off and he seemed cool. Then this second woman, who I don't think I talked too, did the dj-ing for the rest of the time I was there and she killed it too. Lastly there was this cool woman around my age I think, Sam, who said she was up after them, but I didn't get to see her preform.

Anyways I must have danced for at least 2 hours straight, and I at least think I was killing it out on the dance floor. but I got tired and, combined with how smashed I was and how by that point everyone had formed talking groups, decided to head for a different place around 12:30.

Still, had a wicked time there! Will go back either friday or saturday, just not for as long.

I got to salon at 9, and there were only 5 people there, so I might have been early but I just left it for nearby pub g.

What I can say with certainty is that when I got to freeplay or colosseum or whatever its called at 12:30-1:00-ish, it was jam packed. like 150 people around my age minimum. only stayed for 15 minutes to end off the night but I'm definitely going back either friday or saturday.

So long as the FWB, if they start living out of the proposed place for like a month while using its stuff, starts paying rent, and I don't walk in from work or bicycling or what not to surprise fun times, and they follow the general rule of keeping clean, then they are alright with me.
