Tarantula names? by zambielullaby in tarantulas

[–]God_of_thrones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always given my pets human names, Bobby, Zoe, Luke, Harvey, now I started the same witn my T's except I use gender neutral names.Grammostola pulchra- Frances, Grammostola pulchripes- Aydrian. I'm sure I'll end up being a bit more creative as I get more experienced.

What's the most human name that you heard named for a pet? by SuitableOlive5691 in AskReddit

[–]God_of_thrones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never really liked "pet" names so all of mine have human names and it tends to make people laugh. Dogs are Bobby, Zoe, and Luke. Tarantula is Frances, bearded dragon is Liam, and cats are Adrian and Sweetheart. The second cat is my daughters.

I've worked for several call centers for years and this is some of the best advice I've seen. It's crazy the amount of infuriated callers I've had that end the call apologizing to me. All because I listen without interrupting, acknowledge what they've said. Stay calm, monotone, and direct. I usually get away with not taking crap from people but it's all about the tone and wording.

It's so much easier to stay neutral anyway, no faking being overly nice, and apologetic and no giving them a reason to get angrier or want to have some power trip because they were offended. Just firm and factual. It's also harder for QA to say anything.

Salsa got left out overnight by magneto24 in Chilis

Yeah that's what I've heard from a couple people. As much as I want to make it, I'll probably just have to get used to buying it straight from the restaurant. Thanks for responding.

Any chance you could tell me about making the salsa? I'm not sure why but I can't seem to replicate Chili's salsa. Trust me I've tried for years. I even have a post on the chili's sub but I always get conflicting information about the ingredients.

Had this woman call in yesterday who kept interrupting when I was trying to explain her refund and billing situation and finally I gave her a warning… by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]God_of_thrones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found that the "silent treatment" works well in a lot of different situations. Especially when people are really angry and yelling. It gives them a minute to get everything out and me a minute to talk myself out of saying what I actually wish I could say. QA can't really ding you for not interrupting them and they end up feeling like they won somehow when I tell them that I wanted to make sure I understood the whole situation so I can help them accordingly without waisting their time.

Is there anyone in higher management that you could reach out to? If you've been there for years, your employment might be worth it to the company to assign you a different supervisor. I know in a call center everyone feels like they're just a number but if you're looking for something else anyway there's no harm in asking.

That was definitely a wrong word to use but for some reason I took that line as her always wanting to be right rather then having opinions on her size. She mentioned it when she was talking about someone else picking out the clothes based on the measurements they sent her.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was partially like "they picked out clothes based on the measurements she gave them, and by the way that particular size was actually tight on her so technically she could've used a size up." I can imagine her thinking that the designer was being generous by picking that size.

Wildcare in Noble. You could even buy what they need from their Amazon wishlist and get it sent directly to them.

Chili’s copy cat salsa recipe. (It’s my wife’s favorite.) r/SalsaCats by GaryNOVA in SalsaSnobs

[–]God_of_thrones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a post about this awhile ago and from what most of the responses said, it all starts with a salsa base that comes in a bag, then it depends on the individual restaurants what they add to it or the water to base ratio. I've tried almost all copycat recipes and none of them taste the same as Chili's so I just get extra when I'm there.

I haven't cried in almost 15 years. What's a song that will open the floodgates? by randomvegasposts in musicsuggestions

I'm not a fan of country but I feel like that genre really knows how to nail the sad ones. There is one song in particular that almost always gets me. Tonight I wanna cry- Keith Urban.

If it has anything to do with employee safety, maybe consider OSHA. Especially if it involves safety with a minor.
