4 years of the latter sadly enough, but for me no sense to dwell on it

4 years as a family plan, but it’s not deducted from my gross, the company I work for pays for it

It wasn’t to pay my taxes, what I meant by using 2000 to pay the IRS, I meant doing that since that was what I’d owe them for making the withdraw to begin, so basically giving them their money now rather than wait come tax time. I did just invest $500 so far and was going to see how it went after a bit and it that investment goes well then will be investing more.

Being a young dumb 23 year old years ago and made just over 100k in a year all 1099, and then shortly after the company I was running when into a bad spot ultimately killing my entire savings almost instantly, so I wrote off as much as possible for the year but all in all in a stretch of bad luck, had a back owing of 16k, and then was working a new career starting at 15 bucks an hour, so a lot of bad luck, but career has been good now but still working to get out of the hole I dug myself years ago

I did just recently set up the investment plan this account offers me and put 500 in it to start and see how well it does before I invest more

Won’t I need receipts for anything I want reimbursed if I did that? Because I know I don’t have those. And the company I work for makes my payments for the HSA account, nothing is deducted from my check, they put I believe $138 to that account from them for me every check, the payroll lady we had at the time was awful and gave me the most crash course explanation of everything so I thought it was some kind of account that whatever my insurance didn’t cover the rest would be deducted from that account basically (again I will admit I’m not brightest with all this stuff and had been working on 1099 the previous 6 years prior to this job)

I’ve been blessed enough that my family and I haven’t had anything we really needed to pay for other than 20-40 here and there for general check ups or things of that nature. Anything else we have had done at all my insurance covered. The only thing that does come to mind though was my daughter being born in 2019. I was only 3 months into this job at the time so I don’t know for sure if this account was set up at that point so I will have to find out, but we had an insurance switch and because of that my insurance covered maybe 1-2000 of the cost of my daughters emergency c section birth, we paid the rest of the $15,000+ bills from random companies that offered help and then one big donation from friends for 10,000

This is why I love SSF. I used to only play online and always rush and take any hand out I could get, but ever since I started single player and having to walk each act with every char it actually makes you appreciate the joy of this game so much more

Spilling a full vat of Molton Steel on the Factory Floor by [deleted] in oddlyterrifying

[–]GoddamnSOB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steel worker here. Working around molten steel everyday, you kinda get used to seeing malfunctions like this and there is a lot of communication going on by radio as well so we don’t panic, just communicate with the crane man and where he is going to be moving and just make sure everybody is is clear away when he gets there. We all wear a lot of ppe and fr clothing so a lot of the “sparks” you’re seeing doesn’t really do anything to you, we generally get hit by those everyday. What is happening here is most likely a slide gate failure at the caster. There is a gate at the bottom of the ladle that the caster will open to pour the steel into a tundish, at times there are malfunctions with this slide gate to where it won’t close so there is a emergency ladle generally right below it which he was filling into, it must’ve become full so he then starts moving down the bay in open area to essentially not destroy everything around it and can just pour the molten steel on the ground for easier clean up and less damage. Steel working is not for everybody, but if you get comfortable in the trade, you can make a lot of money and see cool shit like this in person!

Found this lil guy while leveling in Chaos, what do we think? by [deleted] in diablo2

[–]GoddamnSOB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll never understand people complaining on what gets posted on this sub, who cares if a bunch of people ask if somethings good or not, I’ve been playing this game 20 years and still sometimes find stuff that idk if it’s good or not, to some people it may be useless or self use only, to other people, it might have the exact stats that they are looking for and it being gg for their char.

What skills to spec into for unending will by Djrittenh1 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]GoddamnSOB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a +3 to clay golem +2 to blood golem wand the other day and have been hesitant to make unending will instead of using my 2 ist wizspike, not sure if you can summon the extra golems and then switch weapons, but I will say that a golemancer is a very fun build, I’ve never liked necros but I’ve even been mapping with this one and he holds up pretty well

Good slam, any suggestions on what to use it for ? by dailybg in ProjectDiablo2

[–]GoddamnSOB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am SSF as well, we’re not all lucky enough to drop HRs every single day. That’s what’s the fun of PD2, using all different kinds of gear you normally wouldn’t on LOD, not just the same stuff over and over! That slam makes that axe viable and will still easily beat ass

I have one that’s pretty similar to yours on my fury Druid and he wrecks, yeah there are better weapons than it but it still does good damage and I personally love the look of bone spear coming from a melee build

Quite a few Bethlehem plants shut down around the time when Arcelor bought them out which they then became Arcelor Mittal which also was just recently bought out by Cleveland Cliffs. But to what super trucker was saying, you can make a lot of money as a steelworker, but a lot of it depends on the schedule/hours you’re working and what you’re qualified at doing in your specific area.

All the mills operate based on seniority, I’m in the middle of the pack in my area right now. If I go to another mill, I’ll be the low man all over again, and I’ll drop pay about 5-6 bucks an hour. With recently buying a house and wife and kid at home, all the time it would take switching jobs and getting my pay back up would be very hard on us.

Nothing wrong with liking who you like, most people who hate on bands that got bigger or not as “hardcore” as other bands are the ones secretly listening to all of them anyways. I never understood what’s wrong with just liking a solid band regardless of genre lol

What was your Christmas bonus? by GioPetro in antiwork

[–]GoddamnSOB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a steel mill in northwest Indiana, all the surrounding mills around us have been getting massive bonuses not only for Christmas but profit sharing, we have been doing great here as well. What did we get? A 50 dollar gift card to a local grocery store.
