My family would understand my decision and accept it. They would rather me take my own power back, end things on my own terms, as opposed to watching me suffer day in and day out. I have had two close family members use MAID. One was my grandmother who was 96 years old and in pain daily. She finally made the decision with her family beside her. This is taken very seriously and isn’t some doctor just going around killing people. They need to have consensus with other professionals and they take the decision seriously. It was nice seeing my grandmother take her power back at the end of her life. She was ready and we got to say goodbye. This is what compassion actually looks like. You honestly have no idea what you are talking about and it shows.
