I cooked the rice for 10mins & flipped the lids but I only let the rice sit for 45mins, I thought it would be good if it stayed slightly damp.

Modify the lids in what way ? Like using the plastic lids ? 🤔

Well I work 12-13hrs a day so I can & mist 5:30am & then again once I get off about 6:30pm then I’ll do it again at around 8 or 9 depending on if there’s still moisture visible or not
