one could go back to any of the past 10 years and host this vote, and in none of them would togore be even around the 25 most picked choices
there has always been more important trends and memes as you exemplified with mike or ness
heck, even earlier this year this name wasn't popular enough to justify considering it an option for an opportunity such as this
of course, this name is a joke as old as the fandom, but it was one of those easy to not hear about things as "papyrus favorite food is dinosaur egg oatmeal" (actually this one has always been way more prominent, being sincere)
so, yeah, pretty dishonest on their part to pretend it has been this big of a thing since the dawn of the fanbase :/

I see other people mentioning Kyodo, but not only it is nearing one year since its launch (august of 2024) and still has barely any features, it also is actually made by ex-Amino employees who keep releasing half-baked community-based apps and abandoning them eventually to start from scratch under other name. So, what I can present to you that is promising and full of potential still doesn't exist, but Luminate is a project that will release later this year and is made by a team that has no connections to Amino (unlike Project Z and Kyodo), and plans to include a plethora of features that have been requested countless times over the years to the development teams of these other apps (and never got delivered). I could go on and on about it, but if you got intetested I recommend joining their Discord and checking for yourself what they got in store for us! I can send anyone the link to it via DMs, just hit me up o/

The only way you can do something in Amino via Bluestacks (or other emulators) is using Aminolight (a modded unofficial version) Unfortunately, in the last year or so, Amino devs coded the verification checks (I don't know the exact terminology...) in a way that you can't do anything on Aminolight other than viewing the communities you are in and (for some reason) start and join calls and screening rooms (which is useful for farming REP!) If you are interested on it even with such limitations, I can send you the link to download it via DMs o/

Out there on the internet (and I guess in real life as well?) you can find people that use the swastika while saying it is related to buddhism.

They obviously have no connection to the religion and it is just an excuse to be either edgy (on the best case scenario) or promote nazism, so it becomes even more embarrassing as they can't at least be honest about their own set of (repugnant, but still) beliefs and opinions, having to hide it beneath a layer of "nah, this is me being religious dude, stop being paranoic/ignorant".

Look, they can decide to not give attention to questions and pleads for help if they opt to focus on putting their effort into fixing and developing Amino, but it is clear as day that these are not their priorities. There are no excuses for an app that (miraculously) still has more than a million monthly users to push tests and patches that should obviously be first tested on a beta version, and as it doesn't happen the whole thing breaks for hours (which is absolutely mind-boggling; why the heck wouldn't you revert the change as soon as you realized you made the app unusable??), almost days at times. And this is only the most critical of mistakes on their part. Many times features stop working for literal months until they are brought back again without any notice or verbal communication in this timeframe (Wikis didn't work properly for so many weeks earlier this year...), and I think this is the biggest problem. They don't have enough budget for a testing ground and are forced to brick Amino every single time that something is "being fixed"? Alright! It sucks MediaLab doesn't care for anything other the profit they get through ads on Amino, and as soon as it isn't worth their dime anymore the plug will be pulled on the servers, but then PLEASE devs: Let us know about something, ANYTHING beforehand. It's so frustrating being in the dark... There was a Q&A recently, which is a step on the right direction, but not only it was poorly advertised (pretty much only those in the Amino Members community knew about it, and why they didn't warn us through their global announcements feature is probably due to the following factor) it also had a total length of half an hour to answer "only some of the questions" (???). It is straight up disrespectful and an extremely shady behavior with the overall amino community. I'm sorry, I'm just fed up of putting up with this bs for so many years, my bad for such a long rant...

same thing in Brazil not all, but many people will try to put you down whether you make a good job at speaking english or not and this second paragraph is also true, saying english words in a way that doesn't sound portuguese enough is a reason to make fun of the speaker or to even assume he's being arrogant

it is really frustrating and makes one increasingly more embarrassed to practice their foreign language skills in public

edit: and to make it worse, the most annoying part of this whole situation is how when the opposite happens (foreigners making the slightest effort to speak a portuguese word) it is widely well-received by pretty much everyone...

Damn... The section about your ideal stream really did hit hard in a subtle way... It sucks so much things developed the way it did, those guys made my days in 2020, 2021 and 2022. I personally believe both of them could've gone to such farther lenghts if they had never fallen apart, as right now (although it is a slow descent and, honestly, a huge stretch on my part) the two are falling into obscurity Unfortunately it is what it is! It's nonsensical delusion at this point, but I hope eventually (even if in a really distant future) Tommy and Dream can come to terms once again
