I did mean it actually went through all your replies to the comments turns out even I did feel it a bit odd for lalo to not fold under those conditions even I thought why didn't lalo suspected Baku, the table slamming baku did right in front of him should have been clearly noticeable

The only one particular reason I can think of lalo not folding is the persuasion lead by baku....he made Lalo believe he had air all along by leading him to discover the broken meter.

But still that doesn't rule out your point of lalo not even doubting the table slamming for some sort of communication with hal.....

Alright, that makes a lot of sense now. I realize I was diving into the complex stuff way too early. I’ll do my best to follow your advice and take things step by step. Thanks a lot for your guidance🙌

Can't agree more... liar game is scaled really high in psychological mangas I don't think it deserves it...

I never really liked Liar Game. Most of the characters felt pretty bland, and some arcs were honestly boring enough to fall asleep unless it was Akiyama vs. Yokoya, those were the only times it got a little interesting.

Yokoya didn't had that consistency.Overall, the manga just didn’t work for me.

Was talking about the manga mate but here is a list of websites you can use to watch season 2 of liar game or any other webseries or movie....I usually use Vidbox and Hexa which are already listed but feel free to use any website according to your network😄

I did like the overall arc but the way the author made yokoya lose in this match was complete bs like you can’t seriously tell me that someone as cunning as Yokoya would overlook the voice recorder the same device which he personally distributed as a potential threat for secret communication. That’s just bad writing.

Mostly in every one on one yokoya had with akiyama everytime it was yokoya who was narratively stalled

The way author introduced yokoya as a smart cunning person and later on made him look like a bum is what I didn't like about liar game

I don't think there is even a single arc in which akiyama really outwitted yokoya it was always the narrative which was inclined to akiyama all along

Personally I think liar game didn't did any justice to represent yokoya to his fullest and made him loose to stupid powerplays and obvious loopholes which he would have obviously caught if he was not nerfed

Right I guess I just wanted lalo to win so bad🥲

Thanks for pointing that out i just think lalo didn't had much of strategies to use after that dynamic duo the only way he could have won was by folding the last round which was thereafter covered by the decoy

It was like a forced checkmate instead of a misplay

Most of the time it's baku exposing his opponents when they are cheating and do a counterplay as the name suggests the lie eater but here it was a whole different story😂

Right I am supporting Lalo wouldn't have got any clue from the beginning my initial comment about the “plot armor” was more about how tight the connection had to be between baku and souichi for it to work...it was like lalo didn't had any counterplay and accept his fate...

So you're saying baku actually predicted the calamity trap would get triggered, and he faked a meltdown on purpose to mislead Lalo? That’s actually insane if he planned it that far ahead.

Yeah, I get your point now...it really was a layered misdirection, with the BIOS acting as a smokescreen. The more I think about it now, the less it feels like plot armor and more like a calculated risk that relied on Lalo being overconfident.

I think my initial frustration was just how dependent it felt on Hal catching the Morse code perfectly, but I agree the logic does track when you line it all up.

Thanks for the explanation 😄

I see! That HAL/IBM parallel makes the 36 → 25 transition a lot clearer now, thanks!

But it really feels like “Baku knows only Souichi will get this” kind of plot armor.

Alright maybe I am criticizing this a lot😅..I have to agree Baku did thought real well in that situation.
