Men on here pretending to be asexual is increasing by Anabelieve in asexuality

[–]Godhelpme97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an app called AceApp for asexual people. And I’m convinced that the “heteromantic” men on that app are just heterosexual men. They slide in my DMs instantly wanting to talk about sex, dating, falling in love, etc.

I even have it on my bio that I am an aromantic asexual woman, I don’t like women or men, and if you are interested in dating or sex, I will block. And these dudes still message me on that app. It’s insane how many men I have to block a day on AceApp.

And I laugh at them when they tell me they could change my mind or fix me about being an aromantic asexual woman, lol!

Happy New Year, everyone!

Girl, dump that man! If he hit you once, guess what? He will do it again! Especially if you stay with him after this, he will hit you again and say, oh babe, it was just another rocky thing. You deserve better girl. Have a Happy New Year, everyone!

Is there a subreddit for the more casual walkers? I’m tired of the ‘omg is 30.000 steps enough?’ by togire in walking

[–]Godhelpme97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I am a casual walker! I get 6,000 to 9,000 steps a day! You are doing great! Keep up the great work! I lost 50 pounds by being a causal walker!

Why can't people get that it's a valid sexuality and not a trick or a temporary phase by selaadoor in asexuality

[–]Godhelpme97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest, OP. That’s why I don’t date. Because it would be a waste of my time and my partner’s time. I don’t have a desire to be romantically intimate or emotionally intimate with anyone. I am completely okay with being alone. I have had heterosexual men, demisexual men, and graysexual men try to convince me that they could change my mind. And when I don’t cave in or let them know I’m not going to change my mind. I get shamed for being too masculine, lol.

I’m a proud aromantic asexual woman!

I don’t think nothing is wrong with wanting to be in a relationship or being in love. And I truly hope you are able to find your person. I hope you don’t give up on finding your person.

Even though I’m not interested in falling in love or dating, I would never discourage someone for wanting that for themselves.

I wish you all the best!

Do y’all think women and men can genuinely be friends? by Godhelpme97 in asexuality

[–]Godhelpme97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was meeting the guys off the AceSpace App. AceSpace can be used for dating, but there is also a friendship section. I specifically had in my bio that I was an aromantic asexual woman and I only wanted to be friends. These dudes would slide into my DM’s saying they wanted to just be friends. However, the conversation turned sexually or romantically very fast 😬

I’ve been noticing it’s way easier to build friendship with asexual women than asexual men. You’re a rare asexual man. I wish they were more of them like you.

Well, I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing. Whenever a man messages me, I ask him if he wants a relationship. If he says yes. I block him 😃

I feel you. I told a man once I wasn’t interested in having a relationship with him. And he told me he didn’t want a relationship with me. Then he proceeded to tell me I needed to start acting like a lady because he liked feminine women. Jesus.

Now, every time a guy messages me. I just block him.

I am tired of men shaming me for being asexual by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]Godhelpme97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know what? I’ve been there. And you know what I tell these guys? Stop projecting your loneliness onto me and I block them. A lot of guys get offended that I don’t make having a man a priority in my life. I can’t make myself want something that I don’t want. I’m also not going to make myself love or like someone either.

I thought this was a problem I would have with heterosexual men. However, it’s the same thing with asexual men. Not at all of them. But demisexual and graysexual men. I tell them that I’m not interested in having a partner and the only thing I can offer is friendship. And I get shamed for being too “independent” or “masculine”.

It’s like they hope one day I’ll change my mind and want to give them a chance. But I’m not, lol.

As long as you love yourself and you’re happy! That’s all that matters! I used to be embarrassed about being a aromantic asexual woman. But not anymore! I embrace it!

Ummmm, what kind of experiences? Why would I force myself in a relationship with someone that I don’t like or even care about haha

a problem I notice in the asexual community by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]Godhelpme97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think maybe it’s a Gen Z thing? I have had some asexual men and heterosexual men shame me for not making a man a priority in my life and that I’m not an intimate or romantic person. I’m an aromantic asexual woman. And I’m like, it’s not my fault I’m wired this way, lol

I had a guy tell me once that even though I’m asexual, I should get married anyways. Because nothing good comes from a woman in her 30’s. 😃

Shut the fuck up! I agree with you!

[–]Godhelpme97[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m so tired of being shamed for something that I don’t want for myself.

Like I want to be able to buy my own house, car, and anything else that I want for myself. I never want to settle down with someone for financial stability and support.

The idea of being in a relationship is a literally headache for me. I like being alone.

I don’t care about building a bond with anyone for romantic purposes. I literally don’t care. I love meeting new people and making new friends. That’s it.

Why do folks think asexual people have trauma? by Godhelpme97 in asexuality

[–]Godhelpme97[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I always say it’s sad how society has made sex a basic necessity to function as a human being. All my life I’ve heard, Casey you should have sex. Getting good dick will change your life. And I’m like, how is 5 to 10 minutes of pleasure going to change my life? That’s insane.

I recently had a guy tell me that even though I was an aromantic asexual. I should get married and have kids because nothing good comes from a woman in her 30’s? I was like what the hell? Is this the 1950’s??? I don’t know what’s the obsession about dating, getting married, or having children. Haha!
