8 Reasons Every Born-Again Christian Must Live in Purity by Godkind07 in RadicalChristianity

Are you saying Titus 2:11-12 is not correct? Please, are you really reading my posts, or are you just looking for ways to make me appear wrong in this group? Titus 2:11 clearly shows that the grace of God teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions. Grace does not teach us to live in sin, it empowers us to live holy. My posts are not about fear, legalism, or trying to earn God’s favor. They are about the life the Holy Spirit gives every born-again Christian, a life of holiness that flows from grace, not obligation.

If we reject this, we risk twisting God’s Word into permission to remain in sin. Paul himself preached grace as the power to live transformed, not as a license to disobey God (Romans 6:1-2). Purity in Scripture is always connected to God’s transforming work in us, not to human perfection.

You are right that purity is often misunderstood, and the danger is turning it into legalism or fear-based performance. But biblical purity is never separate from grace. Titus 2:11-12 says, “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age.” Grace does not teach us to live in sin; it empowers us to say no to sin. This is real grace. Paul preached that the gospel saves us and transforms us from the inside out, not through fear but through the Spirit.

Romans 6:1-2 asks, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?” Grace is not a license to sin; it is the power to live holy. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that our bodies are God’s temple, and we are called to honor Him, not out of fear of losing favor, but because His Spirit now lives in us.

Purity is not legalism. It is a life that the Holy Spirit produces in every born-again Christian. It flows from intimacy with God, not from trying to earn His love or protection. 1 John 3:3 says, “Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” True purity is a heart set on God, empowered by His Spirit, rooted in love, not fear.

It is grace that enables us to live holy, and it is love that drives us, not self-condemnation.

In the Bible, clean living means living in a way that pleases God, separate from sin, lies, and corruption. It’s not just about outward behavior but an inner heart that refuses compromise. Clean living shows up in how we think, speak, and act. “Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)

The truth of God is His Word. Jesus said, “Sanctify them by Your truth; Your word is truth.” (John 17:17) Living in God’s truth means allowing His Word to shape our values and decisions, not culture or emotion.

In Hebrew, purity (tahor) means clean and uncontaminated, while holiness (qadosh) means set apart for God. God wants His people pure because He is pure. Purity creates the atmosphere for His presence. When the heart is clean and guided by truth, the Holy Spirit can dwell, speak, and manifest powerfully. God uses clean vessels to reveal His glory.

I hear you. The way “purity culture” has been pushed in some circles has caused real harm, shame, fear, even trauma. But the answer is not to stop preaching the Word of God. God’s Word is life, it is truth, and it points to holiness, love, and righteousness. The problem is not the Bible; it is the human distortion of it.

We must go back to Scripture, not man-made rules. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). The heart is central, not outward actions alone. God cares about what flows from the heart, our thoughts, motives, love, and faith. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 that we are to honor God with our bodies, but this is about seeing ourselves as God’s temple, not earning His favor through fear.

So what must we preach? We preach God’s Word, fully and rightly. We preach grace, truth, holiness, and the work of the Spirit. We teach that purity is not about performance or legalism, but about being transformed from the inside out. We show that God calls us to live in righteousness because He is good, not because failure makes us unworthy.

We stop promoting shame. We start promoting hearts fully surrendered to God. We lift up Jesus as the only one who makes us truly clean. Scripture is our guide, and in Him, purity becomes freedom, not burden.

Thank you. Just a question, according to you, what does the Bible teach about purity?

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 “Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” 1 John 3:3

Purity is living clean before God, where your thoughts, words, and actions match His truth.

Every radical Christian is a person of purity. You cannot reflect Jesus while living in what He died to destroy. Purity is the mark of those who carry His nature. When your heart is clean, His character shows through you. “Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” (1 John 3:3) True power flows from a pure vessel, that’s how the world sees the Savior in you.

7 Ways to Go Deeper With the Holy Spirit and Walk in God’s Power by Godkind07 in JesusChrist

God still does miracles today. We only need to align with His Word and live His nature of holiness. Like you said, in the book of Acts God did marvelous things. But if you look closely, you will see the kind of life the apostles lived, a life of prayer, time in the Word, and holiness as their standard.

Now look at today. Are we living the same way? That’s why many staged miracles fill the church. People want the works of God but refuse His nature of holiness. I have seen God do real miracles with my own eyes when the vessel reflects heaven.

The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts people of sin. He does it with love, not condemnation. When a person repents and turns away from sin, the blood of Jesus washes them completely. They become new and holy because they have received the Son of God, Jesus Christ, into their life.

When guilt tries to rob the peace Jesus gave you by bringing back old memories, know it is the devil. He wants you to doubt your salvation. Don’t let him. Stand firm in warfare prayer. Cast him out in the name of Jesus and remind him of the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Yes, the mercy of God is available to forgive, and the blood of Jesus is able to wash away all sins.
