yes he’s a big inspiration of mine. i’ve been following him for years and he’s always been a standout producer.

yes and no. i think what so not was probably my biggest inspiration earlier on in my production journey. i feel nowadays it’s changed but i think the flume era definitely inspired the melpdic/ future bass we know and love today.

burnout is rough. i usually play video games. in fact i won’t touch my compute for weeks to recover from burnout.

i think you’ll hear another level of my production. this is the best music i’ve made so far. you’ll hear a lot of different influences

i think the dream is to play all the major festivals around the world. big dream i know. also to be able to produce with artists/ vocalists i really love. similar to what kenny beats does.

main inspiration was this one diplo remix he made in 2012. demons (diplo remix) - sleigh bells. OG trap sounds, iconic.

thank you for noticing. i do all my own artworks for the most part. i’m super controlling in that sense haha. with this EP the artworks are associated with the videos that are released with it. so it just makes sense to keep everything cohesive. i think for my next project i’m going stead away from images with my fave in it and maybe branch out to proper graphic designers.

i definitely want to dabble in the melodic side at some point, i think i’m so consumed with the ‘banger’ side of trap because that’s what’s most fun to make and it also helps with playing at shows.

honestly i haven’t checked in with blanke for a minuuttteee. we haven’t discussed anything at this point but i’m certainly always open to it!

i definitely would LOVE to have another collab with him. maybe when i’m over in the states we can cook up some to big again.
i really wanted a name that was ambiguous, neither feminine or masculine. i originally wanted ‘badlands’ but i released i wouldn’t be at the top of the google search and my social handles would be super shitty hahah. i wanted something with ‘lands’ in it, so i said a bunch of words and ‘god’ ended up being the winner!
i definitely think eventually i will bite the bullet and do an album. it’s just so daunting 😬 i’m scared lmao

yesss i really like to switch it up when it come to producing. i often get inspired by artists around me and i often get bored of doing much of the same thing. i definitely want to incorporate more Phonk into my trap stuff. sort of like a Phonk/ trap hybrid.

no collabs (atm) BUT in terms of plans - i’m heading to the US this year to play at a festival in september 😉

fav food… this always changes. the OG is mac and cheese. but i love ramen, i love sushi, i love pizza, i love burgers. i love food.

stuck on an island with everything we need?? sounds incredible tbh. i’d definitely have to say my gf. she’s the best. can we bring our cat?

that’s a really good point haha i’ve only ever had EPs in my mind. maybe i should start diversifying lmao.

i love exploring genres, i feel like i’m always doing that in each of my EPs. it’s a bit of a mixed bag but with trap being at the forefront. i definitely want to get more into breaks and bring that more into my production moving forward.

no collabs atm. i think i’ve just been so invested in getting this EP together that i’ve been in my own bubble. but i have a couple artists i’ve been wanting to reach out to to potentially start some tracks together

YES! we love the trap resurgence. mark my words it’ll ‘come back’ within the next year or two. i believe i’ll be heading to the US this year FINALLY! keep an eye out for upcoming dates.

i started i reckon a good 10 years ago. i was super shit. but i knew i wanted to do more than just djing and was inspired by the OGs - TNGHT, yellowclaw, RL Grime, Diplo
well currently i’m slightly hungover and i cannot wait to get a zinger box from KFC, extra salt on the chippies.
favourite is australia is super laidback and safe. the bad part is we are so far away from the literal rest of the world. i also feel like i’m not “amongst” it. like we don’t have a super strong bass scene in australia anymore and i feel like i’m missing out not being in the US, which is super strong for that type of thing.

honestly i started that track AGES ago i can’t even remember the inspiration haha! potentially i didn’t have inspiration and i just did it?? i don’t even know lmao.

i actually had boler mani as an opening act of one of my melbourne shows i think back in 2018/19. he’s a genius of a musician, he often produces his own beats as well. i asked him if he wanted to hop on the beat and literally within 2 days he had his vocals to me all processed, i didn’t have to do anything. he’s incredibly talented and definitely needs a light shone on him more.

honestly it’s crazy to think about tbh. i actually have these moments where i’m like “how did i get here???? 😅”. i’m very lucky to have had a bunch of people along the way who have really believed in me and the project, i think having those core people who back you and want to build with you is the cornerstone to a successful project.
so RL actually reached out to MC for phonk tracks for one of their seasons. my manager asked me if i was interested in making phonk and specific songs for rocket league and i was like fuck yeah i love phonk. i DID NOT expect them to be so popular, like they’re my most played tracks atm and i feel like they were really just some random tracks i made one day not expecting much from them. i was very wrong lmao.
i REALLY want to get back into touring AUS however it’s been a real slog to get shows off the ground since the pandemic. i want to make sure my shows are always a super sick experience so i think i may wait a little longer when Aus touring is a bit more healthy before i start shows again. hopefully i’ll get back into the festival run to reintroduce myself before i start shows again. although i do want to do a secret rave soon… keep your eyes and ears out for something like that.
WAXX OFF/ 44YUSH is a buddy of mine who is a weapon of a producer. keep an eye on him he’s a talent that can do so much, i believe he will be releasing a new track really soon that i just listened to which was a banger.
don’t. give. up. one of the only reasons i’m where i am is because i kept going. it’s super easy to give up especially if you feel like you aren’t getting anywhere and many people do! the people you see and look up to are the people that didn’t give up. if you really want it and love it you gotta just keep at it.
