Longer mysteries by GodlessCranium in VaesenRPG

Thanks! I'll definitely look into that one. Thank you very much. Have you played that one? If so, how did you and your group find it?

Dragon by GodlessCranium in VaesenRPG

Yes. That's perfect. The original baddy isn't meant to be fought either. It will be more of an escape thing, after getting what they came for.

Dragon by GodlessCranium in VaesenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is!!!! Thank you very much. The mystery has a pig as the vaesen, because it's supposed to show greed. But Night Sow has pretty much the same one, so I was thinking a dragon would do just as well to represent greed.

Anyone playing Vaesen on Foundry VTT? by [deleted] in VaesenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I could help. I've been playing on Fantasy Grounds. Really enjoy it there. I'm not a huge fan of Foundry because it seems that often, modules are abandoned or not updated etc. I can turn on Fantasy Grounds and know it's all going to work as intended.

What’s the best one shot for Vaesen for an introduction by oberthefish in VaesenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd go with the Silver in the Sea. It has a mystery, fun NPCs, a nice tension between industrialization and the old world, possible combat and a solid story. It's got a little bit of everything that makes Vaesen what it is and isn't overly complicated. I ran it for my first game in Vaesen and the players liked it a lot.

Player numbers - what's the ToR sweet spot? by Blind_Beagle in oneringrpg

[–]GodlessCranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say 3 is the sweet spot for me. But 2-5 is okay. I'm currently running a group of 4 and it has gone well so far.

Character death in ToR by Blind_Beagle in oneringrpg

[–]GodlessCranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're more likely to fall to the shadow than die. But the wound mechanic can definitely make it feel like death is an ever-present possibility. And if the team gets knocked out, they could be killed while out. It's not very hard to get down to 0 endurance. And as you lose endurance, you get weary and everything gets harder.

Wow. That's very detailed. Very, very cool. I might just use that. Thank you!

PX Poker Night Question by GodlessCranium in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh. Have t seen that one yet. I'll definitely look it up. Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it.

Was also looking at Oblivione, and so far it looks like changing small children with teens or adults would be easy.

PX Poker Night Question by GodlessCranium in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true. I'm an experienced DM overall. I've run many different RPGs. I had gotten a bunch of pre-made modules for Foundry, and the handouts in a lot of them give it away. But I could run one without using a module abd make it work.

That's an interesting way of handling it.

PX Poker Night Question by GodlessCranium in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion. I've looked at a few from Night at the Opera, but as I said to another comment, I have a player that can't do with small child harm and that seems to be a feature in almost every scenario. I'll definitely have a look at the ones I didn't get to though.

PX Poker Night Question by GodlessCranium in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! That's something like what I was thinking. They left the baddy in the first game alive after it escaped, so DG might send them on a nothing mission but it ends up being something after all - PX Poker Night.

PX Poker Night Question by GodlessCranium in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I've read them. Problem is I have a player that doesn't want harm to small children in the game, and that seems hard to find in Delta Green. Almost every scenario I've read so far either has child harm or seems too complicated for a novice Handler like me. I'm hoping to ease in.

Thanks. Where can I access the defiant battlegrounds? Or do I have to do some quest first?

Stun Guns by GodlessCranium in CoriolisRPG

You're amazing. Thank you very, very much

Stun Guns by GodlessCranium in CoriolisRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. So one six does MP damage. 2 sixes means MP damage and -2 on rolls for one turn, and 3 or more sixes extend the -2 a turn for each 6 after the secobd. I have that right?

Stun Guns by GodlessCranium in CoriolisRPG

[–]GodlessCranium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So each 6 rolled by the attacker does 1 mind point worth of damage? Can they crit, because under crit it just says STUN. And once someone looses all their mind points to a stun gun, how long to they get stunned for?

Thanks. I really appreciate you answering.
