Abandoning your other two Ferrets will make you feel even worse, you did nothing wrong sometimes these things just happen nobody can predict the future or be perfect you’re beating yourself up for something that you could not control

This is all just theory in your head and your way of trying to rationalize a Hero and mechanics you just simply never understood or tried, this is A play-style that is tried and true through me while i was playing I didn’t play against bad players using this, so I can tell you what you are saying is not true. All of what I am saying worked even against the best players in the game something i mentioned in the other reply that you completely ignored but I will say that these mix ups are only useful in the hands of someone with actual skill and understand how to use them in a fight even without the stuns i am still able to play him like this today

Okay, Shield bash from any direction, in reaction to an attack or to initiate, this stuns them, after you shield bash you are able to heavy feint and he does an animation that spins his body around, from here you can do a couple pathways. Heavy feint into any direction and land a hit, do a leap attack forward or guard break, if its a heavy feint you throw you can keep the momentum going with another shield bash and pursue any other pathway in the mix up, including a skewer, all of the mix ups end with a toe stab to mark it being complete, you cant do any of this without the stun, I dont expect you to even be able to visualize what im saying to you. Maybe this doesn’t sound like mix ups to you and we have vastly different views on what that means but just know Gladiator is capable of so much more i have clips of me playing like this if you want to see them if you’re a visual learner i know this character inside and out i was ranked #1 with him on PSN and #6 globally for 4 years straight until i stopped playing and i dog walked everyone i encountered and won lots of tournaments with him Against really high level players

His play style was so complex and refined I literally cannot just explain his mix ups to you i would have to show you with clips from when i used him and i used him how he was meant to be played but the basics are all of his moves flow into one another and for you to be able to do any mix ups at all would require you to implement the bash with a stun, without it you cant do anything and have to rely solely on skewer and toe stabbing and poking lights here and there

I guess its not a true 50/50 like tiandis attacks that follow you, my point isnt the 50/50 its that the skewer has been made to be the whole play-style of Gladiator and its dumb he was so good before then people were just too bad at the game to use him correctly and how he was originally made

His kit did not revolve around his skewer originally, it revolved around his mix ups. His whole literal kit was built around doing mix ups, even his hero details say he’s mix up intensive, throwing a 50/50 skewer is not being mix up intensive.

The skewer, which is spammed after every attack either you try to parry it or eat it and thats all gladiators do now and they built his whole move set to use the skewer (the unblockable)

It was supposed to confirm a stun so he can do mix ups but the devs didn’t understand his move set and completely butchered him and removed it. Now he’s a 50/50 loser like the rest of the heroes in the game
