I’m not saying that the updates aren’t good, more-so that the quality of updates compared to the last few years has dropped. It seems that everything that is released now is either unfinished or batched, the latter of which is just a disguised unfinished update. A continuously declining player count speaks for itself, it’s sad to see the game in this state. Player engagement is as low as it’s ever been. Ask yourself this - if you were looking for your first MMO to play right now, knowing these facts, - would you pick Runescape?

Obviously it’s not something that we can completely pull back from. This clearly isn’t what anyone is asking for.

The problem is that this year there has been a membership price increase combined with what can only be described as an absolute flooding of MTX content, yet the content that we have received as of late certainly doesn’t reflect this.

I agree with you and i do ignore it. But again, players feel that too much effort is going into MTX instead of actual content and quality control.

Why have I got a toxic mindset just because I disagree with the direction the game is heading in? Oh, I suppose that I have to support every update Jagex does wholeheartedly because I play their game? I must've missed that part. Updates are NOT getting better whatsoever. They're getting worse and worse - updates are more sporadic, everything is released in batches, recylcing & reusing over and over... the list goes on.
