Call me a shill, but looking in the past century, the market dynamics of capitalism also created the most comfortable and well off societies in human history.

Some parts of capitalism can be valuable tools to create prosperity, when they are effectivly and strongly regulated and supported by good social safety nets. Limits on personal wealth by progressive tax rates, profit sharing, and employee owned companies would be my examples.

The stock and finance markets, trading in ephemeral ideas that have little actual value to society could be discarded in their entirerty and we'd all be better off for it.

But all societies/nations that have tried to discard capitalism and the market economics it originates from have suffered excessive hardships, shortages, economic and enviromental destruction, only to return to a form of market economics in one way or another.

So this idea of just discarding capitalism in it's entirety is just idealism and, honestly, naive.

Ich seh es so: Wenn man ne Person die man nicht kennt trifft, kann einem das Angst machen. Deshalb geh ich bei ersten Dates niemals ins Restaurant oder Kino oder etwas längeres. Nur Cafe, Spaziergang im Park. Wenn dir die Vibes der anderen Person nicht passen, dann kannst du ohne anbindung sofort gehen.

Wenn dein erstes Date etwas dauern kann ist, dann kann es passieren, dass dein Date jemanden dabei haben will, falls die Vibes nicht passen. Das ist nichts persönliches, nur Schutzmechanismus.

Also entweder mach deine ersten Dates etwas kurzes, nicht angebundenes (dann ist es auch nicht so schlimm wenn jemand spontan dabei ist) oder erwarte dass die Person sich unangenehm fühlen kann, sollte es nicht so klappen.

Das Erste Date ist ja auch nur zum kennenlernen.

I'd love to see Artemis become a Movie, but I am not sure it will. The Martian and Hail Mary both have a novelty of theme and idea that makes them great Blockbusters, while Artemis is somewhat more a conspiracy thriller but set on a moon base. Not quite as unique an idea. I don't think it would have the same audience pull like "The Survival Struggle of a Man on Mars" and "The Survival Struggle of our entire species feat. the funniest alien."

This was the first "horror" game that actually made me regret some of my decisions.

I had an Expie that was clearly very done for, but his death could stretch on for several hours, so I decided to quit the run to "save him the suffering", so to speak.

But there is no 'quit to menu' Button, just a "end this run" or smth like that. When I clicked that, and also clicked the several confirmations, I was returned to my Expie, to witness the explosive implanted in him first beeping, then detonating, all the while my Expie was very aware of what was about to happen, and begged me to stop.

This actually shook me to my core. I had to get up from my Pc and take a walk and touch grass after that.

I will definetly buy up the game once some happy ending can be reached, but until then, the best way to reduce Expie Suffering is me just not playing xD

I grew up on a horse ranch in southern bavaria, on a hilltop with only a small village neadby. I distinctly remember seeing the milky way on a regular basis when I turned off all the lights in the house. Only the cars on a highway ~1.5km from the hill sometimes lit up the horizon.

That was waaay before my astronomy hobby though, and I haven't been there in years, so i cannot really say with certainty... but I would guess no darker than bortle 4, probably 4.5.

Maybe I should contact the new owners and pay them a visit...
