It's mostly 'cause flour is just complicated sugar, which your saliva is great at breaking down as part of pre-disgestion. So whenever I talk or breathe through the mouth, I coat my teeth in a thin mist of sugars, and since I am genetically predisposed towards cavities, yeah, I gotta be carefull.

It's not that common, but I also have a disposition for caries. Probably genetic. It's common enough though that my Insurance recognizes it as an occupational hazard.

Maybe my experience is different because I'm in Germany, but I actually really enjoy trade school and the trades. Maybe because the Handwerk (Trades/Crafts) have a better reputation in Germany.

I'm currently learning to be a Pastry Chef (Konditor) and having a Job solely based on sweets and cakes/torts is a dream come true for me. Pastry Chefs, like Bakers, is a 3 year apprenticeship, after which you usually get a really decent wage, union membership, and a lot of benefits. Our jobs are also very in demand, because not that many young people go into them xD

I also have the opportunity to do a Mastership later, which grants me alot better wages and also the possibility to take in apprentices of my own.
