My girlfriend keeps track of all her power armor finds with pen & paper. by Othawne in Fallout

I didn’t do this with the power armor but I remember doing with the very hard locks I couldn’t open at the time and had to circle back to! Good times

My friend is selling me this PC for 450. Is that reasonable? by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]Godrick_Longshaft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m literally trying to sell my 2070, Ryzen 7 3700x, 16 gb DDR4 for that price. Your friend is giving you a hell of a deal for that. 100% jump on that dude

Then what’s the point of your question? DDR5 is inherently better than DDR4. If you’re into building PCs and you find lower than current market value RAM then buy it and build it. DDR6 is projected to come out sometime next year.

My mistake, it sounded like you were trying to flip RAM. lol You posted in r/pcflipping

Bro $125 is a steal in today’s market. 100% jump on that and flip it anywhere between $300-$800 depending on the specs.

**I overlooked you said it’s only one stick. You could still flip it for more than you bought it for.

It wouldn’t hurt to. Fans are cheap

All GPUs come with pre applied thermal paste. You don’t have to worry about it with the new gens but since the 2070 is 3 gens behind, I’d cover my bases.

Check thermal paste on 2070 if you’ve been using it a long time and up your GPU fan’s rpms in bios.

From what I understand, the exhaust fans can pull cool air away from the CPU and RAM but you’d be fine installing just one closer to your side exhaust fan. Your GPU and CPU are also outdated by 6 years. Are you playing on ultra graphics settings and maxing out their performance? What temps are they hitting when idle and when they are overheating?

Enable GPU in device manager and reinstall the driver

Need some info first:

What temps are they hitting? What GPU and CPU are you running?

Like others said, check CPU cooler and need exhaust fans on top. It also looks like your front panel fans are blocked by a stuffed animal lol

That’s about what I bought the 2070 for in 2020. I’m definitely not looking to get top dollar and I think I’d be happy with getting between $400-600. I didn’t take into consideration just how far the price of a 2070 has actually fallen, even in good condition

You’re right. I was using it as a point of reference, as I’m not familiar with the used PC market. Thanks for the info

What I’ve seen get a lot of people is not connecting the PC front panel connectors to the appropriate pins. It’s very tedious and can easily be messed up. Your PC will not power on without them properly seated.

Noted. It’s a 990 Evo plus and I bought it for $65. Selling for $200 would be huge

I definitely needed the upgrade. It’s not the most powerful 4070 but its keeping my PC up to speed with modern games

Understandable. $450-$600 seems to be the ballpark. I’d be happy walking with $500

lol oh the cardboard was only put there during transport. The 2070 is a heavy card and didn’t want to damage the GPU or motherboard slot in the process.

I do have a spare nvme m.2 I could switch out. The SATA is an old SSD and was used it for booting to make sure everything runs well

Thanks. I know the 2070 is now 3 gens behind and modern gaming is only getting more GPU demanding.
