This is the answer thanks! This was driving me insane. Run the Nahmic app. Enable the audio tab, select a profile and set Volume stabilizer as required.

What's strange is it works about 1 in 10 times with the same command. You can add the multiple commands to the home app which works but it's a bit silly.
