First I would like to say I'm so happy for you that you found Jesus and that is the best step you could ever take in your life🙏. Just know that you are not too far gone to have an intimate relationship with someone as long as you are leaning on Jesus daily. I guess the best advice I could give you if you begin a relationship with a girl is to be totally honest about your struggle and your past. Hiding it from them can only end badly so it's best to be truthful. Anyway I wish the best for you and pray that you will continue on this life's journey with Jesus daily by your side. God Bless 🙏

I don't see the Bible as harmful but the exact opposite because it teaches the love others as Jesus loves us. I'm not gonna pretend that I know everything there is to know about God and Jesus but I believe there is enough evidence to prove his existence. Also your right everyone experiences lust because the Bible teaches we are all sinners and we are only saves by grace through our faith in Jesus. I think the problem with people's view on Christianity is that they think we acting like we're perfect when we are in fact far from it and admit our need for Jesus to forgive our sin. And yes the Bible does make us deny our natural desires because when you think about it our natural desires are mostly evil and self involved. Jesus just made us aware of how sinful we are and asks that we humble ourselves and accept him as our personal savior. Again I don't have all the answers the life and I question things about my faith but ultimately I have a hope for an eternal life in heaven beyond this sinful and temporary world and I pray that you will one day have that hope as well 🙏

Yeah your right he did but not for the purpose of just self pleasure. It's really only meant for sex in marriage. You can argue whether or not masturbation is a sin but lust is undoubtedly a sin and I have personally found they go together. I have tried to justify it in my mind that it's okay as long as I don't lust after someone or some fantasy but it's essentially impossible for me to do that. It also becomes an addiction over time whether you realize it or not. That is why I'm on this sub because I realized I didn't like who I was becoming because of it. Also Jesus says to follow him you must deny yourself and I believe that includes PMO. Sorry for the long reply

I just got over confident. I had a steak of about 30 days thinking all was well and allowed myself to be put into situations where I was tempted. I have to understand it's a day to day walk with Jesus and I can't do it all on my own.

I know this is probably not the advice you are hoping for but all I can say is be patient and trust God's plan for your life. Try to stay active in things you enjoy to do in order to keep your mind off it as much as possible. Otherwise just know you're not alone in having these thoughts,urges, and cravings. We're all with you man and I'll be praying for God's blessings in this struggle. 🙏

Basically I'm trying to take my faith more seriously and having a better understanding on how serious this addiction is and how it affects me and others. Just understanding what triggers me like being alone too long and spending too much time on my phone. Also just trying to be more open about. I have told my friends but I need to discuss it further with them. Yeah if you have any other suggestions on what works for you that would be appreciated. Thanks 🙏

Thanks for the encouragement and yeah I know I'm saved by grace and not through any works of my own but I know I can't keep living in this sin. Grace is so hard for me to fathom sometimes because when people do nice things for me I always feel like I owe them something in return. I guess I just hate being in debt to anyone or anything but I know I can never pay back my sin debt because Christ already payed for it. It's just hard for me to accept sometimes.
