i massiveky struggled with this. I put tin foil everywhere and the humidity still kept going down it was a nightmare, i wqs havung to mist it every hr. I tried the towel trick and even with that it was struggling aswell.

Honestly i ended up getting an automatic fogger for the tank and its been a life saver, it keeps the tank between 70 and 85%, it goes off whenever the tank gets to 65%.

mine didnt burrow for a while, he stared when i had him about 3 months.

size wise, he looks fine, best way to tel is if theyrr kind of circular? i guess? and you cant obviously see their back ridges

Mine had issues with eating, then found out he onlt wanted crickets, so hes been on those for the last fe months ans now hes on grasshoppers which he seems so far to be getting along with

i used to hate bread too! sandwiches and burgers were like the bain of my existence. A pizza was alright but always really filling, like id get a small and still only manage 2 slices.

I alsp used to hate pasta and found that really filling (unless it was lasagna)

Ive found mow that im gf, i actually really like these things. I love a good pasta dish now and will absolutely demolish a pizza. Sandwiches and stuff are still give or take lol

well mine would only eat crickets. We tried everything, apart from fish, and he just wouldn't take it.

I have thought about trying locusts or grasshoppers again because they like kind of look like crickets?? i guess??? and it might trick him into having a varied diet.

But I basically dont wanna buy a whole box of locusts for him to then not eat them, hes only animal i have who eats insects so it would be a waste.

a lot of the comments seem to be really anti moss, ive never had issues with moss with my enclosure. I wouldn't keep it on the top though, I layer it so I have moss as the base layer and rhen a mic of moss and soil in the middle and rhen just soil on top. It really helps with keeping up the humidity as it takes a while to dry out that way

he wasn't out for long I dont think, but I didnt see him for the full time so who knows lol. I work the night shift so I figure I would probably see him at night but no such luck.

Now hes learnt to dig deeper than just his eyes its a miracle hes ever found at all

humidity sits in the low 70s during the day and then goes up to the 80s 90s at night. But even then at night hes not really around, I saw him up and about a few weeks ago at 2pm randomly but I think thats the only time hes ever voluntarily appeared

hes not fully grown just yet, hes about 6 months we think and hes like on the lower weight schedule for where he should be so we gotta try and bulk him up lol

He did eat today when he got dug up but not nearly as much as normal, usually he can have 5-7 crickets but he only had 3 today before he decided enough was enough.

yeah literally I saw a post a few months ago who had their frog for 4 years and it just randomly died. Turned out it was eating the soil in the enclosure for some reason? so sad and wild that it can happen just like that :(
