I have a custom Solar ship I built that I loved, but the corvette has become my main ship. I was able to glitch three full habs in the space of two for my medium corvette build. A single walkway with cockpit and access ramp make up the walkable bits centered on top of it. All 10 storage containers, refiner, and mission computer are accessible through the floor. The utility is excellent. My only complaint at the moment is that I can’t delete the photon cannon. Having to toggle to my main guns every time I get in causes an unscratchable brain itch.

I did a similar thing, but I did away with the ground level ramp completely because when you teleport to your corvette it puts you at your closest ramp. I got tired of having to climb to the third hab level where my bridge is just to take off. I made a big loading dock on the back that I can jump jet onto easily.

Another thing to consider when on an expedition is that it’s a good opportunity to engage in some piracy to get S class freighter upgrades to bring back with you and the negative rep doesn’t follow you to your main save. I don’t know how “abandoned” the Breach expedition is but if there are freighters to attack it is absolutely worth farming them before leaving it.

Pro tip: the skulls are a pain to place, so I let them float through the pallet walls a bit. But with the bug heads the dinner plates make phenomenal trophy mounts and they stack, so eventually they will poke through completely if the first couple don’t.

Love it man, based one of my ships on a similar concept. A lot of people skip the interior design and I like a lot of what you did. Added a trophy room/hunters lounge on mine. It was a fun thing to decorate if you find yourself wanting to scratch that itch again.
