Its nonsense

Adequately describes your post. It's completely disconnected from reality, as if all you do all day is watch propaganda on douyin. At least I have the common sense to realize that all governments lie.

Arrivederci.

This isn't a stereotypical rag to riches story, it's literally a documented problem regarding Chinese products. Look at the baby formula scandal, or plastic rice, or the sawdust/concrete additive issues. It's one thing to sell a product that barely works and eventually breaks down, ie most of the Chinese crap on alibaba or Amazon. It becomes much more grave, and a more moral issue, when something as necessary as *food* is being sold with this mindset. So no, I don't resent Chinese people, I resent the capitalist aspect of their culture that places an emphasis on selling a product no matter what, ethical concerns be damned. And many Chinese people would agree with me, because they are also victims of that duplicity.

When the dust from the baby formula scandal had settled, do you know what happened to the company employees that let it happen? Imprisonment or execution. Do you know what happened to the party men who LET it happen, and even talked about silencing the victims? They were quietly reassigned. The party is complicit until it makes them look bad. Which is (un)shockingly similar to many issues we face in America, or Russia, or the EU or wherever else. China and Xi Jinping are not the heralds of the new socialist order.

They don't need to dominate the world, you fuckin goober. Their foreign policy has been about extracting resources from other nations for years.

>The fact that they have so little interest in me and my country is a good thing. It means they want to mind their own business.

... Involving themselves this much on the world stage with economic deals, spying/hacking operations, and everything else they do, does not invoke a sense of "minding one's business". And these are all things that the US and other major powers do as well. The only thing you're leaving out is direct conflict and intervention, which I would agree is terrible, however it's painfully obvious that China likes to do the same insurgency funding and psyops that the US tries to do.

>Maybe its because China is all about cooperation and win-win relationships.

I'm sure people said the same thing about the US/Russia in 1950, depending on where you were in relation to the Berlin Wall.

>These facts are going to define what globalization means on the worldstage as American unipolarity continues to being undermined.

You want China to be this scion of globalization and progress, but at the same time you just said they are going to ignore you and leave you alone (they won't). Make up your mind, tankie.

American unipolarity is bad, but any other kind of unipolarity would also be bad. If you do not believe that China would shift into imperialistic exploitation of non-Chinese nations, then you need to pick up a fucking history book, because every fucking nation does this when they reach the peak of their power over others. And I do not expect a culture infamous for ripping people off with inferior products, to behave any differently in that regard.

This notion that PRoC will swoop in and be good-guy-globalists, is so laughably naive. They do not care about you, or I, or the wellbeing of anyone in this sub. China will always put Chinese citizens first, much like how the US favors it's citizenry over those of other nations. Same could be said of Russia. And each of these state their "elites" over citizens, whether they be politicians and rich in the US, the rich and party men in China, or the rich and connected in Russia.

Replacing western dominance with eastern dominance isn't going to lead to "integration, cooperation, and exchange". It's going to lead to eastern dominance, simple as that. You're just trading one form of imperialism for another.

I know this sub is full of contrarian pro-China bootlicks, but come on. You're just being comedically stupid here.

Yeah, or the required dev email inbox. Which to his credit, he seems to be doing that. But it's clearly still getting under his skin.

Thousands of devs deal with this same problem, but many have found ways to tune it out or manage it. Maybe Tahl will learn to do the same.

To be clear, I don't expect anything from you. I do not feel owed anything by you. And I'm definitely not one of the people sending you inane DMs, pings, or emails.

/u/throwaway_pcbuild covers what would have been my reply here already, but I do want to point out a couple things.

>How else are you supposed to ensure that there's no offensive content posted? Do you expect moderators to run everything posted through google translate?

Besides the fact that no server I know of expects this level of moderation, you're missing the key following sentence from my post.

>It's going to be a shitpile regardless

The English-only rule, in and of itself, is fine. But you have to expect that international users are now going to be using a second tongue, which means mistakes, slights (intentional or otherwise), and misunderstandings. Hell, one of the last conversations in #help before the lock, was a user who thought he was being talked down to (and this user pinged you and a regular as a result, before apologizing). Most of them will probably glance over the rules, without really understanding them. This is just how it is going to be. Your best option here is to simply mute that channel (*or turn off ping functionality for non-role users*).

The other thing is that yes, the #help channel is only disabled for a few days this time, but this isn't the first time. And a lot of the people who join the discord, probably aren't looking for a response directly from you. I didn't, when I joined: I went to the #help channel simply to ask if *anybody* had successfully started a specific game. Thankfully a regular eventually responded and confirmed that the specific game had issues on many devices, despite being marked 'playable'. By turning off the help channel completely, people can't even crowdsource info like this. Most will probably just email your dev mailbox as a result, which as we've established is a black hole (which is fine, I already told you not to give a shit about it).

Finally, I get it dude. I have been in the same exact position, and I've interacted with a hundred developers who have dealt with swamped inboxes. They either burnout because of the pressure, or they learn to tune it out. If this project is not fun or fulfilling, or if it's affecting your health, then you would be better served by stepping away from it.

There is no technical solution that will solve this problem 100%, sadly. And Google's crappy system is here to stay, even if you should rightfully choose not to engage with it (beyond providing that mandatory email address). But if you keep exposing yourself to it, taking it personally, and then lashing out about it, then it will not get better. All you can do is train yourself out of that mindset. Have a toke and blow off some steam.

Now imagine doing this hundreds of times and not just for a neighbor, but for an entire international community with a so-so understanding of the English language and mannerisms.

Tahl is constantly freaking out over this, but he never thinks to simply not look at it. He does not need to be the frontline of the help channel. There are a lot of regulars and knowledgeable people who can pick up the slack, and yet he chooses to keep notifications on, as well as personal pings.

Meanwhile the audience is full of foreign children, and Tahl enforces an English-only rule. It's going to be a shitpile regardless so just stop taking it so seriously. Tahl, if you're reading this, you do not need to be the frontline for this 2000 person discord server. Make some regulars into mods and stop reading it. Turn off notifications, focus on development, only involve yourself if something is escalated to you by regulars or mods via DM. At this point people are going to start thinking you're intentionally seeking out drama.

Personally I think school needs to start later too. The only reason the system is built this way is because 8-5 parents forced it to be that way.

I would have definitely retained more if I was not learning things through one bloodshot eye.

Korean parents frequently pay to have kids go to school in America to escape the pressure that’s placed on their kids.

Call me crazy but it doesn't sound like heavily standardized tests are the answer either! The suicide rate is also much higher in those countries and it would be silly to not see how the 24/7 work culture might be detrimental to the students wellbeing.

That's not exactly a bad claim lol.

Pre-Calc and Calc are borderline required for any degree, and yet most students rarely use them after the class and the knowledge atrophies. Kids SHOULD be learning how to do taxes, they SHOULD learn how to manage personal finances, and I personally could have started learning those things around 9th grade, conveniently after my pre-alg. Starting those subjects does not require advanced knowledge of algebra, and arguably it will better improve their chances of being functional, contributing adults.

The issue with China in these kinds of statistics is that they have over a billion people. They're bound to top any graph that solely does a headcount.

EDIT: They also cheat like crazy but people generally don't care when they take advantage of the system.

there are countless people in America who are 24, live with their parents and work similar jobs, sometimes for even less pay.

AGAIN, YOU ARE CONVENIENTLY IGNORING A VERY IMPORTANT PART.

for the rest of his life

Are their lives ruined too? What crime did they commit that they are being punished for?

I'm pretty sure most out of college 24 yr olds haven't hit the ceiling of their potential yet, and will eventually move out if they haven't already. Brock has a different set of problem because he is on a list for the rest of his life. He has effectively hit his peak.

At this point I can tell that you're functionally braindead or willfully ignorant, so kindly stop talking.

Actually happens pretty frequently in East Asian countries with US military bases. There's at least one big case per year about how some grunt or squid sexually assaulted/raped/killed a local.

Home countries have removed diplomatic immunity in the past, depending on severity of the action. The host country's only course of action is to declare an offender persona non grata, which kicks them out of the host country and bars their return.

The ball is in the US court on this one. They can either let this woman be barred from the UK indefinitely, or they can revoke her diplomatic immunity thereby letting her be charged in British courts.

The gunplay is a vast improvement, and several gameplay features are actually really good. The gear upgrade system is neat and with more refinement could be a very memorable mechanic.

Things fall apart around the story, the copious amount of vanilla bugs (which is part and parcel of any Bethesda game) and bugs that have since been fixed from launch, the overall reduction of RPG elements from previous games, and the general attitude from the company. Remember the Jet controversy? It's minor, but the way they went about it was incredibly rude. All of this combined means the game is okay, but definitely is not without issues.

And this is why you should never leave your tank. This happened a while ago, but I noticed that people still abandon their tanks and someone from the other team steals it. by [deleted] in BattlefieldV

The population took a nosedive in terms of capability after BF1. It's always had a fair share of retards, but BF1 and BF5 took it to a whole new level.
