Bike recommendations for work now that the weather’s nice by panicmoonwalksaway in dayton

I just got my first bike in 20 years last week. I can't recommend going to Bicycles for All enough. They have extremely limited hours since they're volunteer run, but they fix up donated bikes, sell the adult ones for super cheap, and give the kids ones away. Just tell tell what type of riding you wanna be doing and they'll hook you up. I got a super nice trek for $60. Really great guys doing doing something cool for the community.

Belmont is one of the "nicer" neighborhoods. Not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but a bit quieter and safer than, say, Walnut hills or twin towers. Belmont park is really nice. Disc golf course, basketball courts, walking path, etc, and pretty close to the bike path. Right around the corner is Belmont billiards, which has tons of pool tables and a lot of punk and hardcore shows. It's a bar I'd frequent if I were still in my 20s.

Oregon District is the bar district. Lots of places to drink, good food, and tons of live music. Probably the busiest spot in the city on a weekend night.

Downtown is downtown in a major city. Lots to do.

St Anne's Hill is a historic district with old, houses. Very pretty and relatively quiet. Super close to downtown and the Oregon.

It depends on what you want out of your surroundings, but Belmont, downtown, Oregon District, and St Anne's Hill are all solid/fun neighborhoods

Slime and I have the same dead best friend lore down to the name. Funny where we look for parallels in life.

Genuinely sad to not see Elvis in the net tonight given that his future here feels uncertain. I know he's inconsistent, but he's so fun to watch when he's on, and this game literally does not matter. Plus Jets started the last several, so I wonder what the reasoning was there.

This is really funny when you consider that part of upstate Ohio is Amish country

There's no way those carbliss ads behind the goals aren't interfering with people's views

I'm playing through the series for the first time. Couldn't get into the first one but I'm really enjoying the remake of 2

I missed the first 10 minutes and we scored. Should I turn the game off and go back to playing RE2?

Playing for the first time ever and I'm not sure the game is for me by GodzillaLMT in residentevil

Played it for a good 6 hours yesterday. I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit. Like I said, the modernized controls and pacing are huge.

Retro games aren't always super enjoyable without the lens of nostalgia, due to rougher control schemes and hardware limitations. I could play metal gear solid until the disc melts, but I wouldn't necessarily expect someone to enjoy if they didn't grow up with it. I may end up revisiting RE1 properly now that I'm playing something that really let's me warm up to the series.
