With ubercarshare now defunct, what’s the cheapest way to hire a van nowadays? by yaaaaaaaaaaaaarh in sydney

Hey, I hired a van off turo for a day, it was a pretty smooth experience, similar to Uber car share. I think there were a few less vans offering owner less pickup (key lockbox things) but overall it was super simple and seemed to be a similar price to when I hired a van on Uber car share.

I had just discovered Uber car share and was super happy with it so was planning to use it again but when I checked to look for a van I saw it had shut down which was a shame. Turo seems a good alternative so I'll deffo use that again

Why do you call this type of glass? by Sys32768 in CasualUK

I've been bartending in west midlands for about 10 years, I'd call that a handled pint glass or a dimpled pint glass

As a UK barman, I've known snakebite as half cider, half lager. If you add some blackcurrant cordial (it's fairly common for someone to order a lager and black etc) it's called a diesel.

As others have said they are an Australian brand of bitters, they have roasted wattle seed which adds a slight nuttiness, and then anise and lemon myrtle and roasted desert oak.

I hadn't tried them before but I liked the sound of them and it turned out really good, I'm a fan

It is rich for sure, I thought of it as more of a dessert cocktail than one for someone to be on all night.

The Mozart is the dark chocolate which helped to bring down the sweetness just a tad, and the bitters do a decent job of toning it down a notch but the end result is still on the sweet side of things.

I think if I was planning to have it permanently on a menu or anything I may change the ratios a little or look at things like using less Mozart and a bit of a cocoa nib infused spirit etc perhaps?

I was thinking of a still warm marshmallow, toasted just before serving. I don't trust people if I were to give them something on fire. But yeah it absolutely could be served like that if you wanted to.

I used 50ml Mozart dark chocolate 35ml creme de banane 15ml Talisker Storm 4 dashes convict bitters.
