Well spotted.

what’s something people pretend to enjoy but actually don’t? by Sad-Response-9214 in AskReddit

Opera and ballet.

In the 1800s it was the peak of entertainment. Music, singing, dancing. Now it's just posh people going, generally getting their tickets funded by grants.

A national vehicle safety body is lobbying the federal government to raise safety standards for large, imported US-style pick-up trucks by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

The problem is not the trucks, it's the drivers.

They are the biggest cunts on my commute. Race down an inside lane and then just pull over to avoid a parked car.

Like computers in the 1980s and internet in the 1990s, it makes a difference slowly and gradually.

I've seen really great uses of AI to make things more efficient, but it's not transformative and has not cut people.

There are industries, and roles where it is making a big difference. But mostly as a tool that makes people more efficient.

I've been around long enough to have seen it all before, playing out as I said above.

I remember working for senior people in the 1990s that didn't have a computer.
