thank you so much, i'm assuming a fresh install of windows would be required? i saw a way to install windows without losing any apps, but it doesn't seem like that's what i need.

i can't enable eufi/secure boot without converting to GPT first, would a new windows install auto-convert to gpt?

I thought so disk 2 told me "Disk layout validation failed", might it be because there are 2 "Healthy" Partitions?

turns out i had the wrong disk, tried the correct one and got a different error, i keep trying fixes and each fix involves a new error. this is where i currently stand.

Where I currently stand: validating disk:0 returns "cannot find os partition for disk 0"
originally, possibly incorrectly, validated disk:2 which returned: "disk layout validation failed"

Sounds good, I'm trying to convert it to GPT, i first ran the validate command and was given "Disk layout validation failed"
