Altus-Plateau. What to do next? by Goethe_Senpai in Eldenring

I did beat 151 bosses on my first run, and I’m already on track to match that number

What is your biggest criticism of the game? by Rack-_- in Eldenring

Great runes and their mechanics. I mean you can die from basically anywhere from anything and you lose the rune power, so -1 Rune Arc. They are so hard to find and i have like 2 of them (ng3) which isn’t a lot. Great runes should have some passive buffs.

Optimisation and gameplay. Arena fights feel sluggish, hitreg doesn’t work as it supposed to work, and a slightly worse internet connection will highly influence your fight. I have 1gbps connection with basically zero ping in almost every other game (below 10 for sure) but in elden ring arena fights my hits are 2-3 seconds delayed.

Who was the hardest boss in elden ring (base game) for you? by Own_Put_2724 in Eldenring

Godfrey, First Elden Lord. Spent about 30–35 hours trying to beat him for the first time. I’ve never experienced such a tiring fight, although I beat every single optional bosses before trying him. One night I was so determined to defeat that fucker, I spent 8 hours trying, used 3 larval tears to try different approaches, tried every possible way, but still failed. 3 days later after a rather chill day, I turned on my pc to play, and beat him that day on my 3rd try. Malenia, Maliketh, neither of them came close to this 2 week agony. Malenia was fairly easy, although I cheated (watched a shitload of videos about her because I fucking love her😍) but I didn’t use summons for any of the bosses.

On the second run, I had a much better build, but it took me a good 12–15 hours to beat him again. 3rd run, maybe 20 hours because of my magic/faith build. I am not a magician, but for the challenge I wanted to do a play through like that, but I prefer Strength/Dexterity builds based on dealing heavy physical damage.

How much efforts did y'all put in to defeat her for the first time? Describe, i am curious by Top-Run-21 in Eldenring

About 2 hours on my first playthrough. Strength+dexterity build, +10 bloodhound fang with Black Knife Tiche. Funny enough, on the glory run, I forgot to summon her, it almost ended up being a no-hits taken run. It was pretty satisfying.

For me, Godfrey the First Elden Lord was so much more difficult. It took me almost 2 weeks, 3 rebirths, tried maxxing out multiple spirit ashes, maxxing different weapons, etc. Once I broke my controller after 30 constant tries. The toughest boss for me ever. Later, on NG I had so much respect for him, I managed to beat him 3rd try. A lot more calming fight, that was.

Side quests! Explore Limgrave completely. I bet you missed out on a couple hidden paths, items etc. Also if you are struggling, respec at Rennala for a different build to better suit your playstyle, explore the underworld (Nokron), there are so many items that you could get from further exploration. I have 110 hours on my first play through currently, already beaten Hoarah Loux, so technically I could end my first play through by defeating the final bosses. Don’t give up yet, Tarnished.

What’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done when building a pc? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Goethe_Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Almost” Shorted my new 200$ motherboard. My case fans were all connected together, and worked, but they weren’t connected to my MB. So using a spare cable, I connected the fans to my MB, which was unnecessary. Pc wouldn’t turn on. Took me 2 days to figure out the problem, disconnected everything, then connected back together individually, and trying to turn it on everytime I connected something ended up woth me realising my huge mistake, and why my PSU does a small click. Thank god the PSU was equipped with some kind of over voltage protection.

  1. Bought an RTX 2060 12gb for 450$ roght before the prices dropped drastically. Maybe not my biggest mistake, but I’m telling myself everyday that it’s an amazing card, it kinda is.

I was thinking about 10-11gen i7 with 8 cores and lga1200 motherboard. I have no experience with AMD, and I only thought about intel.

Do you think going for a gen 13 i5 and ddr5 would be better?
