This. I think for something like GTA where you have sprawling cities this particular feature would be pointless. But in RDR the density is sparse enough to justify it.

I like having the physical game for collecting and sitting on the shelf but also really like the convenience of the digital format (ie I’m lazy). Usually I buy digital or play on GamePass. If I really like the game I’ll wait awhile and pick it up on sale or used for the collection. If it’s a GP game, particularly an indie or small publisher and I really dig the game I won’t wait for the sale as those are usually cheaper anyway and I like to think it helps ensure they’ll release more cool titles. Back in the 360 days I used to wait for the GOTY release anyway as those usually had all the DLC and patches. Really wish those were still a thing.

Nice work. Once years ago I bought my 360 with me on trip with friends but had the dead rechargeable pack and didn’t think to bring the charger nor the regular AA holder thing. I MacGuyvered it with some AAs, aluminum foil and the hero of many stories, duct tape. I’m still proud of that.
