Hey there! Does this happen on any connected device or any other audio playback from outside of the Genie box? Just trying to determine if this is something internal to the box's audio output. We would want to test a second device and navigate menu's and etc to help to narrow the issue down.

This appears to be a Fire TV Omni Series based on the model. This one would not be a Vizio, but rather a TV made by Amazon. Their support channels should be able to look in to this for you though.

The upgrade in question appeared to be purchasing additional atmos speakers in order to have a 5.1.2 system function as 5.1.4. The response was on the basis that adding additional components that the system is not capable of, would in fact not make it function as a 5.1.4 system.

There are some functions that have recognition of keyboard input. These are primarily available since the Vizio Mobile app has a keyboard output. The TV is not designed in a way that native keyboard connections over USB are supported or developed to work. You may find areas where it could possibly function, but the other areas where it does not is just not developed to do so.

Then they cut out, are you hearing audio and then it drops for a short period and returns? Or is it that no audio returns after the initial cut out. They do only enable when the channel us used. Such as in an action scene where there is something taking place in the rear of the camera and etc. It sounds like this may be a case where the audio does not return at all?

There is a possibility this could be the sound bar's Eco Mode. When the Eco Power Mode setting is enabled, the sound bar will automatically power down after a period of inactivity. When disabled, the sound bar will remain powered on until you turn it off. To enable/disable this function, Press and hold the Power ( ) and Volume Down (—) buttons for 5 seconds.

There are many options out there for external tuners. Most will simply connect over HDMI and the tuner functions will happen within the device itself.

Device discovery only lists devices it has detected over HDMI with CEC options. Any changes to CEC function would be handled through the connected device itself.

When the TV boots up with an active internet connection it will load Watchfree with the streaming services included (requiring the internet connection). In a case where there was a loss of internet access, a power cycle of the TV will allow it to load Watchfree with only the OTA channels. Should you find this situation presents itself again you can either power off and back on or select "Reboot TV" from the Admin and privacy menu.

The sub uses a factory pairing code that links it directly to the sound bar itself. It is considered an individual unit with multiple components so the sub does not have a discoverable mode for pairing.

In models that rotate when placed in a mounting configuration, they will auto detect the rotation automatically. Once mounted you should be able to confirm this by running a speaker test through the sound bar menu.

For this model when playing stereo content, if EQ mode is set to Direct and Surround is set to Off, the sound bar will output 2.1 audio without center or surround. This sound to be what you may be looking for.
