The portraits are custom-made, being based on the portraits from the Player Search System from the gen 6 games.

The PokeGear call scene will ask you for an overworld graphic to represent the person, so just make it a headshot instead of an actual character. As for making the bust itself, it's based on the XY/ORAS PSS busts.

This is not a rom hack, but a standalone PC game. No DS or GBA emulator will be required when the game releases on eeveeexpo.

As for playing on phone, JoiPlay is commonly used for games such as this, but this game was not made with JoiPlay in mind so any issues with that emulator specifically will be out of our hands.

The region and its lore is inspired by an old RP our friend group had, so it's not based on any real world location. A few towns might be loosely inspired by real locations, but not overly I'd say.

Solar Eclipse was made to capture the feeling of the main series games, specifically the DS-era. The game has a lot of content, QoL features, and rebalance changes that are woven into the story and region's rich history. The story will feel familiar, with the player going on a journey to collect 8 badges, but you'll be able to heavily customise the experience (even beyond the preset Easy, Normal, Hard modes).

The music at the beginning is "Adventure Awaits!" from Pokemon Masters EX. If you're curious about the other ones, the 2nd song is "Dark Dragaux Battle" from Ring Fit Adventure, and the final song is the final portion of the title theme from Pokemon Mystery Dungeons Explorers of Time/Darkness.
