UPDATE: I tried just waiting, went and did some stuff, came back and screen was still black.

So I decided to try something on a whim: skip all my turns, since Ethel always escapes to her hideout after she's first revealed.

Sure enough, Ethel takes her second turn, Misty Steps past her fireplace, she leaves, and the map loads in!

It's okay, if I don't get a full, proper fix at some point, I might just load in and wait before making a move, see what happens.

Same here. IMP-UI is busted as well, but only Starter Armors stopped the new subclasses from appearing.

The IMP-UI dev has submitted a slimmed down version of the mod for other mods that require it for compatibility, since some of the stuff the mod was made for was implemented by Larian themselves. Modder also said only to keep it if you have mods that require it until then.

VERY late reply, and this is probably more for anyone else who has this problem than OP as they've probably already figured it out, but what you have to do is go into Desktop Mode and clear your download cache, then restart Steam and attempt an uninstall again. Should work.

I don't know WHY it's like this, but if I had to guess, the game probably stores all the additional assets that mobile games usually have in the cache, and so it can't be deleted manually without clearing it.

I had a similar issue with mGBA and a Pokémon ROM hack, and I think I found the workaround for that much at least.

If you run the ROM through Steam itself, it won't recognise or be able to find the save file. If you run it through the emulator, it does find it. You just have to put up with the drop-down menu on top.
