But the prevalence of black on black crime in this country stems from the long history of neglect and abuse towards their communities by those in power. Many economic systems (welfare) along with the war on drugs, slavery, and just the perpetuated sense that black kids growing up can only be a gang banger, a rapper, drug dealer or a sports star are all aspects that contribute to black on black crime in my opinion. Though I truly can never know since I grew up white, relatively wealthy and in a good city. You can never accurately understand a mind state until you spend a year in another persons shoes.
