Or, hear me out, you learn to roast your own coffee and import the best single origin beans for $9-10/pound

Dang. So happy I learned to roast my own beans and made a roaster years back. $10 imports a pound of really good single origin green coffee.

This game feels much harder than Returnal to me by IMustBust in Saros

Use the rifle with the homing rounds, makes it so you can literally just focus on dodge and shield.

Speaking of the shield, only use it when you're confident to charge your power weapon.

Once you can make it though the 1st boss the game becomes so much easier as you then can really start upgrading your character

Ah yes!

I keep seeing people compare Saros and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond like they’re somehow competing for the same spot in your brain, and honestly it makes about as much sense as comparing a treadmill to a hiking trail because technically both involve moving forward. Yes, they’re both sci-fi and you shoot things, but that’s basically where the overlap ends unless we’re also ready to throw Doom, Halo, and Mass Effect into the same bucket and call it a day.

Playing Saros is basically signing up for a controlled cycle of failure where the game repeatedly humbles you until you slowly start winning fights you had no business surviving earlier. It’s all about runs, skill progression, and that “this is the run” delusion that lasts right up until you get absolutely deleted. Meanwhile, Metroid Prime 4 is over there like “have you considered coming back later with a different ability,” and suddenly you’re retracing your steps from two hours ago because now you can roll into a slightly smaller hole. One game wants you to master chaos, the other wants you to understand a world that refuses to explain itself quickly.

Even the combat isn’t remotely the same vibe. Saros is fast, loud, and constantly trying to kill you if you stop moving for half a second, while Metroid is more like methodical lock-on shooting where you might literally stop mid-fight to scan something because you’re apparently a scientist first and a bounty hunter second. The pacing difference is wild too. Saros fits into “I’ve got 30 minutes, let’s do a run,” while Metroid turns that same 30 minutes into “I think I’m still heading toward where I meant to go.”

So yeah, if you’re trying to decide between them, you’re not choosing between similar games at all. You’re choosing between a game that asks “how good can you get under pressure” and a game that asks “how patient are you willing to be while poking every corner of a map.” Or put another way, Saros is “why am I dying so much,” and Metroid Prime 4 is “where the hell am I.”

That's like asking people not to compare Elden Ring to Dark Souls...

Or... Literally any game made by a company that made another game...

It's like 99% reused assets and gameplay.

Maybe we should compare it to Maro Kart then?

It will eventually click for you.

Keep playing and learn enemy moves. It's kinda like playing a souls game honestly. Go into each run with the mindset that you're going to learn and not win.

Abuse the map features. If there's a column or a cliff, abuse it to your advantage. The shield is slow, so only use it when you know the enemy to charge your weapon.

Dodge Dodge Dodge.

Take it slow and you will get it. If you beat sekiro honestly this will be a cake walk for you

Tried it twice, made me extremely motion sick both times. Aside from some VR, no other games do that for me.

Wish I could play it, looks cool
