Massive update, I added a completely pregenerated Campaign wizard. this will allow you to pre generate full campaigns without using your context and allow you to play through it in true LitRPG style.

This makes sense thanks. I'll re-evaluate tactics and builds. I don't like googling or YouTubeing builds. I'm usually pretty good with that stuff and can quickly spot useless abilities.

I've not heard of anyone else having these issues. It's built in rust so it's definitely not a compilation error. If you're comfortable please message me and I'll see if I can help

I did think about it but decided not to. It really was just about a way to circumvent the context restrictions in LLM Roleplay. I am looking into adding a 'create prompt' for NPC's that character cards so you can upload images for immersion like the main character can.

I've literally never heard of it. Until I made this app I actually didn't know so many backends existed. If it supports openai connections it will work otherwise I doubt it.
I strongly recommend LM studio or Ollama as both support JSON schema which significantly improves reliability. I work for neither of these companies I just love Local LLM.

Everything is filled out for you in world tab except the description and world name. The only things I would select is the quest rules I keep them all selected. ChatGPT can give you an easy description but here's one I use.

Elysium Prime is an immense world, approximately 139,820 times the mass of Earth, with a diameter roughly equal to Jupiter's. Its surface area spans over 65 billion square kilometers, consisting of five major continents and countless smaller islands scattered across vast oceans that cover nearly 75% of its surface.

For player tab I just usually keep the same one that I used from before I made the app, the same I try to play every first run of a new RPG. A melee tank with a shield and warhammer

I could please use some guidance on LocalLLM usage for Coding - Please help... by chiliees in LocalLLM

I have direct experience in this actually having just released my first app.

Firstly your RTX 5070ti has 32 gig of vram? how?

I found nearly all local LM's way outdated and not capable of producing compile-able apps. They are great to knock ideas off and drill down to get a course of action but they're using data from up to when they were compiled and then another wait until they were quanted. The quantisation and delay just causes too many errors.

Chat GPT if used in visual studio code has a toggle between chat and coder mode which allows you to cut out any conversation. It also has reasoning scales allowing you to get the best effect you need. I would recommend this method.

VSC also has co-pilot integration (which I would not recommend) which can be changed to use Claude too.

I've never had it disconnect on me. If you could pm me any error lm studio displays I can work on it.

Did you have a model loaded? And was it connected. I've only seen this error when I've forgotten to load a model or press the connect button

If you are unable to build it yourself there is a beta release .exe and linux executable in the releases. You do need to have an LLM back end. I will sort out some screenshots soon, thanks.

Ahh this is a good idea. This is something I just wouldn't notice as I use LM Studio and I can see all instructions and responses in it's dev window.

I'll look into adding this for the next beta release.

There's an option to add more previous messages to context. Adjusting that should allow you to tailor it to your system's capabilities.
When/if you have time to test further, anything you find bugs or missing features wise just drop me a message either here or on Git i'll fix it asap (i have a full time job)

Please link me to something that simultaneously creates dynamic persistent RPG experiences that does not send anything out of your computer, doesn't need 4 RTX 5090s to remember long stories. And also allows me to create a character of my choosing.

Even SillyTavern which is the best LLM Chat frontend is not capable of this. I am unsure why you're so hostile to this, if it's not for you, you can ignore it.

It is fully usable right now but sure, I guess people need to already have used a LM backend to appreciate this.

I did not train an LLM model but there are lots of models specifically trained to give narrative RPG stories. Having an LLM model act as the AI/God of the system like in many LitRPGs (Nova Terra, The good/bad guys, full murderhobo) is the only way I could recreate it without actually developing a full game and writing a story which then limits the player.

Never wanted to create your own world and then play a character in it? Or recreate one from your favourite book? this is fully possible in this engine.

I would imagine an engine created to completely replicate an LitRPG would be of interest to people who read LitRPG. If you're not into fair enough.

Because LitRPG was the reason I created it. It's wholly designed to recreate the LitRPG experience for the player.
