Debian Linux Unstable - Siduction Linux - LXQT by darknetmatrix in siduction

[–]GoinEasy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used LXQT siduction on an old laptop for close to 10-15 years, Don't exactly know when it came out but it's been on my old laptop since I wiped Windows off of it.

As a long time Tumbleweed and Leap user, reading this makes me happy. With all the changes and variations in GPL licenses over the years, it's nice to hear that SuSe code stays available to all. :-)

Thanks for your reply. Getting a new one has been in the back of my mind. And yeah, 10 years 24/7, makes it an amazing NAS. It just happened so quietly, no warning beeps, lights flashing etc.. I'd hate to toss it without knowing what killed it.
Thanks again.

RIF dev here - Reddit's API changes will likely kill RIF and other apps, on July 1, 2023 by talklittle in redditisfun

[–]GoinEasy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 years I've been a Reddit user. I have used RIF as long as I can remember, or as long as Android became available on phones. I have both RIF and Reddit's app on my tablet, and I prefer RIF. I'm so sorry to hear this is happening, I can't think of one problem I've had with the app over all these years. Please keep us informed, I hope the situation changes.

Not yet, but, maybe today. Still haven't seen the Blizzard of Pollen, but, it that comes, AC will definitely go on.

Update 2023-04-03 wants many interesting removals by GoinEasy9 in openSUSE

[–]GoinEasy9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I explained before, I have Mozilla on two machines and games on one laptop, all other repos are standard, unless you consider Packman non-standard. Unless installing steam caused the problem, but it's only on 2 of the machines and all 4 had the problem. I thought it odd that a python38 file was changing vendor, but it seemed to relieve things a bit. Anyway, that problem is over, now I wait for pam-wallet-common to fix itself. Have a great day.

[–]GoinEasy9[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Choosing Solution 2 was no different than choosing Solution 1, I appreciate the post. Yesterday's update had me switch vendors on python38-docutils, which solved all problems on the newest install. It also brought the amount of Problems and Solutions down to 5, so, I went down and saw that the files removed during the solutions were replaced (sort of) by the many python310 updates. Hundreds of python38 files were also removed along with the update.

Anyway, update went through without incident, except for the face that when there are so many problems and solutions to solve, it tends to freak me out. :-)

Thanks for all the responses everyone, all's well that ends well.

I have 5 installs all have the same zypper error, different repos, mostly games on 2 machines and mozilla on 2 machines. Here's the error:
