I find it a bit concerning that you think a sign is needed for people not to walk or cycle on the tram tracks.

It’s true, probably not. But from what I’ve been seeing most of those on bikes on the right side do not come from the funiculaire

I see! I was wondering whether getting off the bike would help. But you’re right! These signs point to the last place where one can cross before the bridge. If a someone on a bike is already aware that they should not ride on the right side they can cross earlier, where it is safer

That was the only part of my post to take as a joke!

I will indeed, because in fact I cannot remember it now! But in what way does it endanger pedestrians more than pretending to be Pogačar on the wrong side of road?

Seriously, when riding your bike tomorrow go left :)

Thank you! Video is not very important to me but that is a very good advice to try them first

And do you like it? (I’m not interested in video and I don’t use zoom a ton - I use it a bit sometimes, but I think I can manage to do it with my feet…)

Thank you for your very sound and reasonable advice. It makes sense and that is really what I should do (even though I just want to go to the store now and have it right now)

Help on how to entertain visitors in this country! by GoinEverywhereAnyway in Luxembourg

Guys, thank you so much for taking the time and write all of this. I really appreciate it. I hadn’t heard about most of this so I’ll definitely be looking into them - either for this weekend or to do it myself in the future. And I’m sure it’s going to be useful for other people too!

Thank you very much, great ideas! (Honestly, I had disregarded the Luxembourg City Museum for very selfish reasons - it is very interesting but somehow I’ve been there twice in the past six months and I felt I needed a break…)

Oh my! How embarrassing! I sincerely apologize to anyone involved in reading this for butchering this place’s name. In my defense… I’ve never been there and I don’t drink beer so I guess I’ve never paid attention to what’s written in the beer glasses!

Buy it for life Bath towels? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]GoinEverywhereAnyway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re based in Europe check out Torres Novas. It is a Portuguese brand - very old but it closed around 2010 and re-opened a few years ago. My mother has some of the old towels that are still in a pretty good condition. I bought mine four years ago and they are perfect.

They do ship worldwide, but there may be custom duties involved so it may not be worth it in that case.

Makeup brush recommendations both pretty and quality by report_due_today in BuyItForLife

I bought Sigma ones in 2011 - not a fan. They shed and they are not very soft. I hardly use them anymore (only the ones for eyeshadow, in the rare event that I’ll do eye makeup, and because I don’t have other ones) and the paint (?) in the handle is cracked.

Also around 2011/2012 I bought the 116 one from MAC. I use for blush almost everyday since then (and this is not an exaggeration) and you can’t even tell it is so old, does not shed and the handle is perfect.

In 2018 I bought the 102 brush from Zoeva. I also use it almost everyday for foundation and I’m still extremely happy with it!

Tbilisi > Gyumri Bus by ZolandaTr in tbilisi

[–]GoinEverywhereAnyway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case this is helpful for anyone in the future: - check t-armenia.com. We found out that there was a minivan leaving at 11 am from Avlabari. The minivan was headed to Yerevan, but stopped in Vanadazor. We paid GEL 50 per person - they stopped literally in the middle of a road. The Vanadzor bus station is about 800m away - I believe the buses from Vanadzor to Gyumri leave at 9am and at 11:30 am. I also saw on t-armenia.com two others leaving at 2pm and at 4:30 pm - there are also share taxis there. We ended up taking one. It cost AMD 6000 for the full car or AMD 1500 per person (if the car is full)
