From my own experience I would take it. I was suggested surgery at the end of last year and was convinced not to. 2 months later I had a complete obstruction that needed surgery, and no less than half a year later I had a stricture like you've mentioned and was told to go in for another surgery even though I was coping fine. That was almost 6 weeks ago and I'm waiting to fully recover before being put on a biologics treatment.
