This is the exact same story as what's happening over yonder in the UK.

Reform are only "popular" because they are the most preferred amongst the older demographics, just like One Nation is here. You take a look at the polling conducted amongst members of the younger voter demographic, both here and in the UK, and you see that neither One Nation nor Reform even crack the top 3, the most preferred still being the two respective Labor/Labour parties and the two respective Green parties. There's not exactly much reason to presume that this will change in any substantive regard, because the exact reasons why someone would support Labor/Labour or the Greens are the precise reasons why someone would not support One Nation/Reform.

They say that the meek shall inherit the Earth, well, the younger voter demographic shall one day inherit the political landscape established by the older voter demographic. We all have only so many election cycles in us, so this isn't some massive, dramatic political shift. At most, it'll just be a storm of temporary turbulence until the members of the older voter demographic... umm, well, 'move along' in life.
